Ox would be awakened by the caws of birds nearby, stirring him out of a deep sleep. The young Carnotaurus would use his head to help himself to his feet, his arms being less than useless in helping him in this regard. It had been a few days since Ox had escaped, and he was still on edge in the case that his captors were still looking for him.
He would feel his stomach growl. He needed to eat, and soon. Ox would look at his surroundings, searching for anything he could hunt to kill. The juvenile would start to march in a random direction, knowing that continuing to constantly be on the move would make it harder for his former captors to find him.
Eventually, Ox would come across a clearing in the trees and take in his surroundings once again. The clearing had a decent sized pond for which Ox could drink from, but the biggest feature would be a small rock face, upon which, a waterfall would pour into the pond below. The area behind the waterfall appeared hollow, just barely large enough for Ox to fit inside standing up.
Ox's attention would be drawn to a dead buck near the waters edge, seemingly dying of either illness or some unforeseen health condition. The young Carnotaurus would approach the deceased buck, looking down at it. The juvenile would bend down and tear out a chunk of the dead creature, letting its blood spill freely, and it pour slightly into the pond.
The young carnivores feasting would be interrupted by a growl. Ox would look up to see a lone wolf, clearly wanting to claim ownership over the carcass. But Ox would let out a growl of his own, unwilling to surrender his food. The wolf would pounce at the young carnivore, its claws extended as it swipes at Ox's snout, drawing blood from the Carnotaurus. The juvenile would snort in pain, but react with a bite to the wolf's back leg, the sounds of bones breaking audible as the Carnotaurs opponent yelped in pain, before being thrown aside. Ox would let out a roar before walking over to the now injured wolf.
The wolf would suddenly move and bite down on Ox's leg, causing the carnotaur to let out a roar of pain. But Ox would bend over and bite down on his opponent once again, using his own weight to break the canines neck. The wolf's jaws would loosen as the life drained from its eyes. Ox would release his own grip before looking to the sky and letting out a triumphant roar of victory. For this gave the young predator a sense of accomplishment as he continued to let out a roar, announcing to the forest:
This was Ox's new territory.
