"Sorry, I need to go." Chanyeol says after reading the text message he received.
Agad syang tumayo, not even waiting na sumagot pa ang mga kasama nya. Cause either way, aalis pa din sya.
He went to the parking space to get his motorcycle, and agad nag-drive.
It's already night time, a weekend to be exact. He was out with his friends for a drink.
Usually, ito naman talaga ang routine nya. Weekdays puro aral, weekend puro inom or party. Don't mistake him as a party boy.. well, he is but he still excels in his academics.
Wala namang tama si Chanyeol kahit nakainom na sya, thanks to his high tolerance of alcohol. Kaya naman mabilis pa din sya makapag-drive, swerving lanes, passing one or two cars at a time. Feeling the wind hitting in his exposed skin since hindi nya muna sinuot ang jacket nya, he also wanted to feel the coldness of the air.
Chanyeol entered the university parking space. Nung nakapag-park na sya ng maayos, agad syang pumunta sa isang waiting shed near the OPD.
Malapit na sya sa waiting shed when he saw someone sitting, looking around na para may hinahanap, at inaantay.
"Ji." Tawag nya upon stopping a few feet away from her.
"Chanyeol." Napatayo naman si Ji.
Silence caved in as they look at each other. All you can hear is nature, the distant sound of the cars in the busy road.
Lumakad si Chanyeol palapit kay Ji, and he stopped nung magkatapat na sila with a good distance, within arm's reach.
"You're here." Ji says, still in disbelief na kaharap nya si Chanyeol.
"You needed me." Chanyeol answered. "So, I'm here."
Ji felt her heart fluttering, she can also feel butterflies in her stomach. It's been a while nung huli nyang maramdaman ang ganito. Tumingin sya sa mga mata ni Chanyeol, and she saw how sincere he is.
Ji took a step closer before wrapping her arms around Chanyeol's waist which surprised the latter. Her head landed perfectly on Chanyeol's chest, sakto kung nasan ang puso nya. People will say that their height difference is perfect for this kind of hug.
It took him a few seconds before reciprocating the hug. One hand on her back, and the other on back of her head.
"Thank you." Ji said in a low voice but still audible.
"Always, Ji." Sagot naman ni Chanyeol. "I'll drop everything basta para sayo."
That's when Chanyeol realized that the feelings he has been denying, and avoiding for quite a while has now caught up with him.
Cause who would have thought that Chanyeol Park will fall in love?
Definitely not him.
