It's the middle of late night when Haze, and Ji decided to take a break from reviewing. They have been reading since they got back from the precinct. They decided to eat Jin ramen after hearing a stomach growl in the room pero ayaw umamin kung sino. Nagkatinginan pa nga sila when they heard that sound, even asked at the same time kung stomach mo ba yon.
"Haze?" Tawag ni Ji in the middle of a peaceful eating together.
"Hmm?"
"I'm sorry for how I acted for the past week."
Ramdam ni Haze ang sincerity sa boses ni Ji, and kita din naman nya ito sa mga mata nya. Sabi nga nila, the eyes never lie.
"Hey, it's okay." Haze smiled.
"Huh?" Ji asked. "How is that okay? I was being rude, and childish.
"Gaya ni Park." Pag-pout pa ni Ji kaya naman natawa si Haze.
"What's with you, and Chanyeol anyways?" Haze asked at muntik naman masamid si Ji sa noodles na kinakain.
"Roomie, the heck are you saying?" Ji asked na magkasalubong pa ang kilay.
"What's with that reaction naman, Hyeji Choi?" Natatawang tanong naman ni Haze.
"That tropa of yours is still mayabang in my eyes." Medyo masungit naman na sagot ni Ji.
"You know, Yeol is kind." Haze says. "May saltik lang yon, pero you can count on him."
"No need." Sabi naman ni Ji. "Marunong ako magbilang kahit wala sya."
"Hyeji naman!" Natatawang sabi ni Haze dahil muntik nya mabuga ang iniinom na water. "Kelan ka pa naging funny?"
"Hey, I'm always funny!" Ji pouts in angry like a kid.
"On a serious note, it's okay." Haze says. "Lahat naman tayo may pinagdadaanan, and we have our own coping mechanism."
Natahimik naman si Ji. She just looked at Haze who is slurping on her noodles.
"Heartbreak is weird no?" Ji says. "You want people to be there for you, pero you push them away kasi may specific person kang hinahanap."
"Is that the case with you?" Haze asked.
"Maybe?" Unsure na sagot naman ni Ji. "It's my first e."
"I hope you heal, Hyeji." Sagot naman ni Haze. "Maybe hindi talaga sya."
"I wanted it to be him." Ji frowned.
"Well, hindi naman natin alam ang future." Haze says. "Sabi nila kung sayo talaga, babalik at babalik yan."
"Well, it's almost a year since he left." Sagot naman ni Ji, and Haze can feel the sadness on her tone. "Mag-aantay pa ba ako, Haze?"
Medyo nagulat naman si Haze sa tanong ni Ji.
"It's not my decision to make, Hyeji." Haze finally answered after a few seconds of silence. "It's not something that I should comment on either."
"Kase pace mo dapat yan." Haze added. "It's not something that you should ask to other people kase we have our own pace, and coping mechanism pagdating sa ganyan."
"Just, take your time." Patuloy pa ni Haze. "Let yourself heal, and maybe it could be the start for you to move on."
"Loving someone should not be that painful, Hyeji." Pagtatapos ni Haze.
For Ji, loving Junmyeon wasn't painful. In fact, it's pure bliss for her for the past 5 years that they shared together. But then, hindi ba masakit ang maiwan ng walang dahilan? Maybe that's why it's so painful for her. Love is complicated, no?
