The amount of force he used to stroke her head wasn't all that gentle. It was like rubbing a piece of cloth. There was still some heat leftover from the friction on her head. After the sound of his door closing, Lisa unconsciously touched her head.

Lisa stood in position for a while before glancing over towards the coffee table.

The cake was already a shocker.

She had no idea there'd be a present too.

The lights in the living room wasn't switched off yet and the white lights were a little too bright. The coffee table was all tidied up with only a flask and a few cups. There was a newspaper and a few magazines on the side.

From that angle, it didn't look like there was anything else there.

Lisa walked over and squatted next to the coffee table and looked inside.

There were lots of things messily stored inside. Among the pile of milk powder and fruit cereal, a pastel-blue bag seated on the outermost side, a stark difference to everything else there.

The gift bag had patterns of little white flowers loosely arranged over its otherwise solid colour.

She stared at it for two seconds before reaching out for it.

Lisa looked into the bag and saw a black-coloured box. She stood up and felt like the object in her hand had turned into a hot potato, like she'd taken something she shouldn't have.

She didn't open it right away. Switching off the light at the entrance hall, she went back to her room.

Lisa placed the bag on her bed and brought out the box inside.

It had a slightly thick texture to it and was circular, larger than the size of a hand. Even before opening it, she could smell the light scent from it. It was extremely unique, with a small hint of sweetness mixed with its wintry scent.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Lisa opened it carefully.

It was a bottle of perfume.

The pinkish transparent bottle was square-shaped with a dark-coloured bow tied at its neck.

There were two English words engraved on its side in black letters.

Lili.

Her nickname.

Lisa's heart skipped a beat.

Not knowing if it was a mere coincidence or something else, Lisa thought of how Jungkook used to call her 'Lili'. She licked her lips and took out her phone from her pocket to search the brand online.

It was a small brand and wasn't particularly famous.

Lisa wasn't very well-versed with these things and only roughly scrolled through without reading too much further. Her eyes fell onto the perfume bottle again. The writing on it was as clear, like it was carved on with a knife.

Lisa lightly ran her fingertips over it a few times, remembering the past.

It was probably in her first year of senior high school.

During a conversation she had with a classmate, Lisa had casually mentioned that her nickname was Lili because she was born on the first day of Frost's Descent. All her classmates who'd heard it didn't dwell on it.

She'd not cared too much about it.

It'd seemed that only Jungkook paid more attention to it.

She couldn't remember when it started, but whenever the two of them were alone, Jungkook had stopped calling her 'Junior' or her given name, and had changed it to 'Lili'.
