Chapter 33 Heading out

Seeing that he signed the contract,  Noa feels relieved. After all, she would not be stupid enough to trust a stranger. If she was then there is no way she would have gone so far up in the military ranks that she did in her previous life. Now all that is left is to get ready and bring the essentials. She may be able to go back to her every time she wants with her pendant. But with Wu Yichen traveling with them she doesn't want to use it unless in a life-and-death situation. This is a secret that only those closest to her will ever know. So first she decides to make a large weatherproof backpack. It did not take long to complete as she started with this project a few months ago and only needed to do some finishing touches. 

Wu Yichen:" Dont you have a storage ring or bag?"

Noa:" I dont."

Wu Yichen:" Then once we hit the nearest city you should go buy one."

Noa:" There is no way i can get them for free right?"

Wu Yichen:" I can pay."

Hearing this Noa stops what she is doing and looks at him with an unreadable expression on her face. 

Noa:" No, i am already in your debt with you bringing the 3 of us out of the forest."

Wu Yichen: " It is nothing, most you can find are only low level storage items. They dont really cost much."

Noa:" I still wont accept it." 

Wu Yichen: " You can buy some with 10 low level beast cores. It should not be that hard to achieve."

Noa:" Alright, i will see if you can get some on the way."

Wu Yichen: Strange, why did i offer to buy her a storage item? When have i ever bothered to by someone something for no reason?

He dont have the answers so he quickly puts it at the back of his mind. Noa on the other hand decides to make food that they can bring with them. Such things as rice, oats, dried meat and a few root vegetables. She packed them up into jars while she made the dried meat. It took about 6 hours for it to be done and once it has cooled down she tied it into some clothes. She also packed a few apples. The next day she made a tent and packed their clothes. She also made some water bottles from bamboo. For last she packed some cooking gear and utensils. 

After she was done packing she decided that with the few days she had left she would take care of the farm animals and made sure that they have free access to water and food that will last for a year. As well as other farm chores. With the rest of the time she spend with Gaia and her children until the day finally come when they will venture out.

Wu Yichen: " Would it not be better to set the animals free?"

Noa:" It is fine i have made it so that they will survive without me taking care of them."

Wu Yichen :" Alright, then is everyone ready?"

Noa:" I just need to write a letter to put on the door in case my friend comes and sees that i am not here."

Wu Yichen:" You have someone who would visit you all the way here?" He asked with surprise.

Noa:" You are here arent you?"

Wu Yichen:" My apologize. I was rude." 

Noa:" You are forgiven."

If anyone who knew him saw Wu Yichen apologize they would be very scared as they would suspect that the world was ending. He has always been arrogant and mighty. Never lowered himself to others, not even his sister who he loved dearly to the point that he would never let her marry anyone unless the proved themselves. It is safe to say that his sister had many suitors but everyone was scared away by him and his impossible tests. But he himself did not notice how strange he is acting. 

Wu Yichen:" Take your time then."

Noa:" It will not take long."

With that she wrote a short massage on a piece of patter and hammered it on the front door of her house. After that she put on her bag and made sure that the twins are ready. Noa decided to pick both of them up but Wu Yichen quickly offered to carry one of them and she did not refuse the offer. So when they when out of the barrier she carries Evior while he carries Valery. They really look like a family of 2 with their family dog. The only one who noticed this was the children and their reactions are of curse very predictable with Valery being happy and Evior being bitter. But none of them said anything as now was not the time. After all this is the first time they have been outside the barrier so of curse they are very curious. While Valery was outside very briefly  it was snot enough time for her to admire the scenery. So they are both very curious, While Valery tries to hold herself back as to not run around as she is very aware that she can not do that as she has been told about how dangerous it is out here. And remembering how hurt Wu Yichen was when she first saw him she knows that it is the truth. Evior on the other hand asked about the names of the plants he doesn't recognize and about what they can be used for. It was unusually peaceful something that is very rare in this forest. But not only that Wu Yichen also feel very peaceful a feeling that he has long forgotten.

At first he doesn't know how to react he wants to enjoy the moment but he knows that it is very unwise to do so here where you can be attacked at any  moment. But he has not felt like this so long that he feels that something would slip away from him is he did not enjoy it. He quietly battle himself in his mind and in the end his irrationality lost and he decided to enjoy the moment. After all with his strength he can still sense danger before it approaches them.
