I blinked at Solaris, still struggling to process everything he had said. His story was more fantastical than anything I could have imagined. The idea of being an heir to a fallen kingdom, tasked with its restoration, felt like a plot from a mythological epic rather than my reality.

"Solaris, this is a lot to take in," I said slowly, trying to find my footing in the conversation. "You're telling me that Gaia, the actual Goddess of the Earth, created this kingdom, Elyssanar, and now I'm supposed to restore it?"

"Yes," Solaris responded, his gaze unwavering. "And I know it sounds impossible, but you must believe me. We don't have much time."

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. "But why me? Why now?"

"You are the chosen one, Elayne. The prophecy foretold your arrival. You have the strength and compassion needed to bring life back to Elyssanar. Gaia chose you for a reason."

I bit my lip, the weight of his words settling over me. "Okay, let's say I believe you. How am I supposed to restore this kingdom? I don't have any special powers or knowledge about this place."

Solaris nodded, his expression thoughtful. "That's why I need to take you to Gaia. She will guide you, give you the knowledge and power you need to fulfill your destiny. But first, you must see Elyssanar for yourself."

"Elyssanar? You mean you know where it is?"

Solaris dipped his head. "Considering it is where I originate, I would assume I know where it is."

Talk about being a smart-ass.

"So where is it then, oh mighty and knowing one?"

Solaris looked at me with a mix of amusement and seriousness. "It's not a place you can just find on a map, Elayne. Elyssanar exists in a realm hidden from ordinary sight, intertwined with our world but separated by ancient magic."

I frowned, trying to wrap my head around it. "So how do we get there?"

"You need to open your mind to possibilities beyond the ordinary," Solaris said. "Gaia chose you for a reason. You have a connection to the natural world, a gift that will guide you. Elyssanar can only be accessed by those who believe in its existence."

"Okay, okay. Yes, I'm the special one. I understand that, but how do we get there?"

Solaris looked up at me and I could hear the amusement in his voice.

"Can you drive?"

I gulped.

"Maybe...not."
