Alex arrives with Ana, his girlfriend, who he loves and who loves him back. However, he doesn't know which friend of his is arriving from the United States. Sara, Alex's mother, greets them: "Hi son, hi Ana. Sit on the couch. How are you?" Ana replies that everything is fine and that next week they will go to the beach. Sara reacts in surprise and Ana confirms, to which Sara expresses joy saying that they are going to have fun. Alex agrees and asks if her mother would like to go with them, but she declines, saying that she will stay home to welcome Alex's friend. Ana asks who it is, and Sara reveals it to be Andy, who is returning home after three years studying cinema outside Brazil. Ana comments that it is elegant, and Sara agrees. Alex then says goodbye, saying he needs to be alone, despite Ana suggesting they go out together. He insists on being alone for a while, and Ana, understanding, accepts.
