Passionate love
Passion is the most immediate type of love between human beings and responds to the laws of attraction: one is literally attracted to the other like a magnet and begins a relationship solely based on it. Many couples who live permanently in this state also manage to stay together, perhaps forming a long-distance relationship; many others, on the other hand, go no further.
Love for sympathy
Sympathy is a type of love, according to psychology, honest and sincere to the extent that each of the two subjects in question feels involved on an intimate and confidential level. Sympathetic love is a love of trust, an accomplice on an intellectual level and of reciprocal interests, but it lacks the passionate component, which will eventually lead the couple to a single reflection: is it love or friendship?
Empty love
You know that familiar feeling of union that you feel with the person who has always been part of your life, but for whom you no longer feel that burning passion that made you sigh every day? This is empty love: empty in the sense that it lacks passion, an essential element.
But empty love is one of the types of love in psychology that can also work the other way around, because it is not always part of a great passion that transforms, but can also be a relationship that over time acquires fire and great intimacy.
What is emotion:
Emotion is a physical and emotional sensation caused by some stimulus, which can be a feeling or an event. Experiencing emotions is very personal, they can be felt differently by each person.
It is the emotion that leads a person to react to an event. Depending on the emotion experienced, physical reactions such as changes in breathing, crying, redness and tremors may occur.
The etymology of the word emotion indicates that it has its origins in Latin, in the word ex movere, which means "to move out" or "to move away". This meaning demonstrates the natural reaction to emotions.
To this day, there is no exact definition of the concept of emotion or how many emotions there are. What is known is that human beings are capable of experiencing countless emotions, mainly because the feelings they provide in each person are very specific.
One of the best-known theses is from psychologist Robert Plutarch, who says that human beings have eight emotions: trust, joy, sadness, fear, anger, surprise, aversion and anticipation.
Theories try to explain what the basic emotions are, but this does not mean that only these can be felt. The emotions of anger, fear, joy and sadness are considered basic and linked to the survival instinct. But each person can feel emotions differently or even a mixture of emotions. Knowing how to manage emotions is important to live better and be an emotionally healthy person. This administration of what is experienced and felt is called by psychology
The area of the brain responsible for feeling and controlling emotions is the limbic system.
Difference between emotion and feeling
Emotions are natural reflexes in the face of events, they are a physical or chemical response commanded by the human brain.
Feelings are a consequence of emotions and are felt by each person according to their experience, personality, culture and upbringing.
Feelings can be defined as the observation of emotions and the reactions provoked by them.
Emotions are unconscious reflexes of human beings and feelings are more conscious and related to the evaluation of emotions. They are complementary because the emotions experienced give rise to feelings.
