[Claire's POV]
There was something about the encounters at the Café and the park a while back that had me thinking... Has Fen really changed? Could she actually be nice now? It just sounded so bizarre...
Before I thought of anything else, I was suddenly picked up. When I saw who it was, it was Xister! Fen was there, too. She slowly waved at me before Xister spoke.
Xister: "Big day today, Claire! Aren't you excited?"
I nervously looked towards Xister and tilted my head.
Claire: "E-Excited...? For what exactly?"
Fen: "We're adopting you, Claire..."
I immediately froze up.
Claire: "I-I don't know how to feel..."
Xister tried to assure me that things would be okay. Fen smiled at me, but not in a sinister way, but rather a gentle way.
Xister: "Don't worry, Claire! You're safe with us!"
Things were just getting weirder and weirder...
