Hey guys, apologies for the long wait for the new chapter. But, I'll let you enjoy this chapter without much more distractions.
-Alexandrus' POV-
The sunlight pierces through my dorm window, as I snore, the blanket on my bed covering me in a nice and warm feeling, protecting me from any outside chilliness. I snuggle up against my pillow, enjoying the moment of respite, soon I feel a small yawn come out, reminding me of my extreme exhaustion, but of course, like usual, my slumber is interrupted by a certain Half-Elf.
"Alexandrus, wake up!" Tortin shouts, as he soon shoves me off the bed.
I scream, as I fall to the ground, my face slamming against the floor, clearly not enjoying this morning torture and being forced awake. My eyes adjust to the light, as I soon spot Tortin, his light skin, and his light brown hair, a mix of Kaleina's pink, and Grodigan's dark brown hair, and blue eyes being his iconic details, not to mention his long ears, though not at as long as Torleth or moms. He is a Half-Elf after all.
"What the hell, Tortin?! I was sleeping!"
"It's a school day, we're already late to school." He responds, sounding slightly annoyed.
"But... Why didn't you go on ahead?"
"Because you'd probably stay asleep until the next day, and without me, you'd never wake up on time for anything." He clarified, in his usual monotone voice.
This is the roommate I got, a cold, mean, strict, and no-fun roomie. Honestly, anyone would be better than my brother, even a roommate who leaves trash everywhere, because at least they'll let me sleep in!
"But I need to sleep! I train Rina, I go to school from 7 to 4, and I train under dad too!"
"And I take Magic classes, Archery lessons, take care of the dorm, partake in the School Council, and go to school, and I'm not sleeping in."
"That's because you don't make any room for fun stuff, Tort."
"Maybe so, but at least I'm not an idiot." He scoffs, as he crosses his arms.
His insult instantly flings me into a rage, as I get up close to him, staring him straight in the face, my fist raised under his chin, as I see him look at my fist then into my face.
"I'm not an idiot! I got decent grades in my classes!"
"You consider multiple C's and a D, decent?"
"I have an A+ in Weapon Training!" I point out, as I swing my hands around.
"Still, you should definitely work on your grades, this is a top of the top school, you can't be getting C's. Some tutoring might help you."
"I already get tutored by Hikari!"
"The one from Student Council, eh? Surprised you have such bad grades with such a great tutor."
"Look, you said we were going to be late to school, we can argue during lunch!"
I instantly grab Tortin by the hand, and thankfully, he's as light as a feather, probably because he's more lithe and lean, which is opposite of me, being a bit bigger, in nearly every way than him. I slam out the dorm door, as I close my eyes, activating my Boost ability, as I feel my feet slam against the ground, as I rush off, Tortin in tow, thankfully not being flailed around, and actually managing to keep up with me. And after a few minutes of running, we arrive at the school, as I jump up the steps, barely landing at the top of the stairs.
"I really hate going up those stairs, there's way too many of them." I chuckle, as I let go of Tortin, and try and grab my backpack, only to realize I don't have it.
