(fluff)
Ringo gulped. He was finally gonna tell her. He was going to tell the woman that he had been crushing on for so long, 18 year old Maureen Cox, his feelings. His true, raw feelings.
"Where are ya goin', Rings?" George asked. The quiet Beatle was munching on a biscuit, leaning against the wall.
"Uhm, just gonna get some groceries," Ringo lied. If word got to John and Paul that Ringo was gonna tell a girl about his feelings for her, all heck would break loose. Absolutely NO ONE could find out about this, not even George, his best friend.
"Oh," George replied, clearly not believing him.
"Don't tell the others, okay?!" Ringo begged, "please! If they find out, I'll never hear the end of it!"
"Relax," George put a hand on his friend's shoulder, "I won't. I'll be too busy eatin' my biscuit."
Ringo had to chuckle, "alright, Georgie. Wish me luck."
George smiled, "I will."
Ringo then walked out of the studio.
Maureen was at the park, reading a book. She usually didn't read, but today was a rather boring day. She hadn't seen Ringo or any of the boys all day, so today was pretty lazy. A lazy Saturday afternoon in Liverpool.
Suddenly, she heard her name being called. "Maureen! Maureen! Mo!"
Maureen smiled at someone saying her affectionate nickname. She lifted her head, and saw Ringo rushing towards her, looking desperate.
"Ringo!" she said, rushing to meet up with him, "I haven't seen you all day! How are you?"
"Listen Maureen," Ringo gasped, out of breath, "me and the boys are leavin' for France tomorrow, and I just can't take another month of not seein' ya. So, I gotta- I gotta-"
"What is it, Ritchie?" Maureen giggled. She had always called Ringo by the nickname that he had gone by when he was a boy; Ritchie. Even to this day, his Mum still called him Ritchie.
"I've gotta tell you this," Ringo spoke up, suddenly bold. He took her hands in his. His hands were calloused and rough from spending most of his time drumming, and they felt good in her soft hands. Maureen blushed and asked, "what?"
Ringo leaned in and kissed her softly. Maureen blushed even more. She had kissed boys before, including Paul one time back before they were famous, but this kiss felt... different. His lips were surprisingly soft and tender, fitting perfectly against her equally soft lips. She pressed her lips harder against his, deepening the kiss. Ringo wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.
Their lips finally parted.
"Blimey, you kiss so good..." Ringo gasped, "I-I don't know what to say..."
"I love you," Maureen said.
Ringo giggled nervously, "I-I love you too."
"Is that what you wanted to tell me?"
"Yes," Ringo said, pulling her even closer. Maureen was now snuggled up against his warm chest. She sighed and rested her head against it. Ringo gently stroked her dark hair and kissed the top of her head. He then lifted up her head and brought her into another kiss, this time more passionate than the last.
"Hey, George," John said, walking up to the former, "where's Ringo?"
"Yeah, we can't find him anywhere!" Paul, who was standing next to John, replied.
"He went to go get some groceries," George replied calmly, "we need some more biscuits."
"Well that's only because you're always eating all of 'em!" John joked. Paul burst out into hysterical laughter and had to lean against John in order to even keep himself up.
George smiled to himself. They were totally fooled. He hoped that by now, Maureen and Ringo were sharing a kiss, finally together.
