In my heart and in my head
You softly lean closer to me
Whispering something as I turn crimson redI place my hand to pull you closer
To breakaway the next moment
Echoes of your whispers fading into distance
Realizing this was a dream, an epiphanyI'm not destined to confide in your soul
So now I seek to hide in your shadows
Yet you don't have a shade to offer
Aimlessly, I wander
As I bathe in cliff-side pools
Brimming with false hopes and anticipations.
