Hey there! This is my first time putting something like this out there, so any feedback, tips, or advice you have would be super appreciated. I've read a ton of stories like this, and I know they can sometimes be a little cringey , but I'm aiming to write something that won't make you want to cringe or roll your eyes too much.
About the Story:
This book dives into some heavy stuff, so a quick heads-up—it's about a mom who's struggling with serious mental illness, specifically postpartum psychosis. It's a condition that can develop after giving birth, and unfortunately, it led to her mistreating her kids until their dad found out and divorced her. She never fully recovered or got properly diagnosed, which is a big part of the story.
A Note on the Point of View:
Most of this book is written from the daughter's perspective. I just want to let you know upfront that while it might sometimes seem like the brother's experience is being overlooked, it's really just because we're seeing things through her eyes. I promise his story is important too.
Thanks for Choosing My Book!
