Transmission Start – Investigation Log

The walls of the training ground were reportedly bombed and not broken in as military forces initially believed. There were chemical reactions of flammable materials and leftover gunpowder was found at the scene where the wall was damaged. The investigation led by the All-Commander at the time, Laurel Montgomery, suspected that the Infectants swarmed in as if they were purposely gathered at the walls, waiting for the gates to open.

Investigators were shocked upon arriving at the horrible scene. There were bodies scattered all over, innocent lives were costed at the risk of taking the others to safety. The Infectants were reportedly vicious, everyone saw it with their own eyes; how they were torn and consumed mindlessly and heartlessly by the Infectants. Blood gushed out with each powerful champ on the bodies, tearing the very flesh out from the skin. People were screaming at the abomination and horrific scene as they were running for their dear lives during the horrible incident.

Most of the senior cadets and soldiers were out that day; on the day of New Year no less. What a glamorous way to celebrate the new year; their cheers quickly shifted into screams and terror. Their hopes and anticipations; shifted into fear and horror as the Infectants came rushing into the base; yet tragically, their screams only fuelled the hunger of the Infectants. For some reason, researchers found that they seemingly enjoy the process of hunting for humans; specifically targeting the ones that expressed fear.

It was humanity at its cruellest.

Upon looking at the gruesome scene, the investigators felt a chilling sense crawling down their backs as the strong feeling of uneasiness and fear filled their chests. Most of the injured cadets were sent to the infirmary, unfortunately, more than 30% of the cadets and members of the research team, either lost a limb or the mentality to continue their training. This caused a mass lack of manpower for the next generation of soldiers.

Investigations are still ongoing. Researchers are searching for more clues regarding the incident. The case shall not be closed until the culprit is found.

However, the truth had never been told, and the case had been left cold ever since the new All-Commander took over the Polaris Space Station. Most of the elite soldiers were leaving the organisation since the first week with the new leader. Some said they were out of pure despise towards the All-Commander.
