NARI POV

I was welcomed by the unfamiliarity of the hallways. I took slow steps towards where I thought the office was, constantly reminding myself to keep my head high.

Fake it till you make it, I guess.

I eventually find the office and head inside. I was greeted with a cold gaze of a woman sipping her coffee.

"Choi Nari?"

I nodded and gripped the straps of my backpack. The woman across from me on the chair gestured for me to take a seat. I pulled out the chair and took a seat. Glancing around the office, I was brought back by her waving her hand in front of my face.

"Here's your schedule, Mrs. Na will take you to your first class."

I bowed and left the office. I saw Mrs. Na waiting for me outside with a smile. I go towards her and greet her, as she does the same.

We chit-chat a bit before she dropped me off to my class. I wave her goodbye and set foot inside, waiting for the teacher to let me sit.

She introduced me to the class and told everyone to make me feel welcomed.

Ugh, I hate these introductions. She lets me go find a seat, and I sit in the middle row beside a guy who doesn't pay much attention to my presence.

I clear my throat and take out my hand for him to shake. He took out one of his earphones and looked at my hand before looking at my face, putting his earphone back in his ear. Retreating my hand before gazing at him.

I awkwardly place my backpack beside me and glance around for familiarity. If I'm gonna spend a year in this class might as well get used to it.

My focus went back to the guy from before. Jeez, so rude. I only wanted to get to know people on my first day. Guess he's not a people's person? Looking back at the board, I feel a tap on my back. I turn around and see a girl. She had wavy short black hair, and beautiful doe shaped hazel eyes. Her skin-tone was a shade of honey, and she had a cute little nose piercing.

"Psst, my name's Chaeyoung, but I go by Chae." She whispered and leaned over her desk. I smiled and introduced myself. She asked me if I would like to join her for lunch. Obviously I agreed. This was an opportunity to make friends, why would I let it go?

I take one more glance at the boy before completely diverting my attention at the teacher. I wanna get ahead of my classes as soon as I can.

The bell rings and I'm now headed to my next class, luckily it was with Chae. We walk to our class and she tells me about herself. I nod and laugh along to her stories. Her life can honestly be documented into a reality TV show.

Shaking my head at her stupid joke, we take a seat on the unoccupied stools that were beside each other.

"Okay, enough about me. You talk about yourself." Chae rested her face on her arm, that was set on the table. "I like to draw?" I shrug my shoulders. She nods and we turn our focus onto our teacher.

I always sucked at chemistry. I sigh and take out my notebook.
