The kiss

"He could be out looking for us, right now." Ye Joon paced around the room. 

"He's right, we need to get going." 

"But how would we get around properly if we don't even know the place." Yoongi interjected Nari.

"Hoseok! He comes here often, he should kno-"

"Absolutely not. I do not like that guy and no way in hell do I want him to get involved." Yoongi crossed his arms.

Namjoon looks between Yoongi and Nari. Hana said that he could be their driver or personal map in certain areas.

Yoongi did not comply. 

"Yoongi, it's not about personally feelings right now. We have to do what we can to stop anything from worsening." Namjoon reminded him. 

Yoongi looked disappointed but nodded. 

They all left the hotel room to their respective rooms. 

"Ya' like her, don't ya?"

"What?! No, me? Liking Nari? Get real Ye Joon." Yoongi just huffed.

"I never mentioned her. But I can see it in your eyes."

Yoongi just brushed it off as nothing, but not before noticing his heart slowly racing.

It was sunrise, and Nari decided to leave for breakfast. She went alone, as she thought she would be quick, but not before bumping into Yoongi on the way. They both decided it would be safer going together, as the recent events that took place. 

Heading outside, the air is filled with silence. Not one of them speaking a word. They don't really have much to say besides ever talking about their missions. 

"I texted Hoseok this morning," Nari told him. "Just waiting on his reply now, I guess." Yoongi sensed the uncertainty in her voice, but he just hummed and they finally reached the nearest café and ordered. They seated themselves at a table for two.

They chatted about their home lives and how everything has been so different. Nari was telling him about her life at home and how she lives alone now. That was until her wandering eyes met another pair of eyes outside the huge window. 

"I'm going to kiss you, like right now."

"What?"

Nari leaned in for an instant kiss. Yoongi was stunned and didn't know how to react. His heart was racing. He was just hoping Nari couldn't hear it. Yoongi and Nari's lips were just placed onto each others. None of them moving an inch. 

Nari flitted her eyes back outside the window, he was gone. 

They then hear someone clear their throat. They finally move away from each other and see the barista holding out both of their drinks.

"Sorry to interrupt, but your cappuccino, and your hot chocolate you ordered are here. You both make such a cute couple, by the way." The lady smiled and went on. 

Yoongi and Nari just briefly looked at each other with flushed faces. 

"I'm so sorry, I saw someone- I saw Hoseok- and I felt really- and I got really startled. It was the first thing that came to my min-"

"Yeah, yeah, it's okay. Let's just forget about it." They both nodded and just looked out the window.

Yoongi's heart just wouldn't stop pounding. He felt as if his heart were to leap out onto the floor any moment. Nari wasn't feeling any different.

Why was that the first thing that came to her mind? Why couldn't she have just ducked? She had an answer until 3 days ago, what's wrong now? Why is she cowering so much into answering him? I mean, he is only her ex-boyfriend, right? 

They both decided to head back, but this time, the tension and air of awkwardness was clearly evident. They both agreed to forget about it, but was it that easy to forget?

They headed to Namjoon's room, based on the text they received, that's where they're supposed to meet. Everyone could feel the tension walk in with Nari and Yoongi's arrival. 

Slightly red faces, and a noticeable amount of distance. They all questioned it, but didn't say anything to them. Namjoon asked if anything with Hoseok had updated. Nari checked her phone, and as if on que, he texted back.

"Sure, if you need me just call me. Also, you're going to need to let me know soon if you still want my help to look for your mom. The week's almost over, I don't wanna pressure you, but you need to hurry."

Nari only reads the first part of the text. 

Namjoon nodded and told them that Kara said there's been more Daimainion on the loose. They had to capture those too. 

He ushers them to hurry and change so they could leave as quick as possible. 

But something just wouldn't leave Nari's mind. 

The kiss.

It wasn't a proper kiss, but it was still a kiss. 

She doesn't know why she acted like that, but now its' going to eat at her for a while. 

That little step her and Yoongi finally progressed to had come crushing down. It was all because of that one kiss.

How was she going to handle being around him now after that?
