- Re:Up Saga Concluded -

"To follow one in order to be set free, this may apply to history itself. However, if you live in one's shadow, resentment will grow and jealousy will spike. It would be as if trading one set of chains for another, except you're the only one who can see these chains because they are your own."

-2012-

It had been in the next year and a half before Nicole was freed from Jail. The morning dew that rested on the leaves outside of the Jailhouse seemed almost as if a new world before her. She didn't know where to go. She couldn't go home and she'd never want to. Too many bad memories that may take her back onto the path that she doesn't want to return to. She'd figure that she'd go to someone's place where she isn't as hated.

(Y/N)'s manor looked more refined the last time she visited. The gates had ominously opened for her. She was quite spooked but went up the hill to the mansion anyway. She saw a few men and women tending to the garden that had never been there before. They seemed to be maids and groundskeepers from the looks of it. They seemingly didn't pay any attention to her at all.

Upon reaching the front door. She hesitated for a moment, reminding her of the time she first arrived to his home. She gave a more delicate knock compared to last time.

???: "Miss Jessica, it seems someone's at the door-"

??? [muffled]: "I'll answer it, don't fret, Theia." A familiar face opened the front door, now more mature compared to what she was around three years ago. Other than her rack in front of her, she seemed more professional. "Nicole?!"

Nicole: "Jecka!? What are you doing here?"

Jecka: "What am I doing here? What are you doing here? Did you get released today?"

Nicole: "Yeah.. I was expecting (Y/N) to answer or something.." Her head panned down to her shoes in front of her. Eyes glued to the concrete below her. "It was foolish, selling crack when I've already lived in cul-de-sacs, huh?"

Jecka: "It was! I should be rightfully angry at you."

Nicole: "Then what's stopping you?"

A tense atmosphere had held over Nicole's head. A sense of dread filled Nicole's mind. Perhaps, Jecka is married to (Y/N)?

Jecka: "But looking back at it now. You did have an unfair life. Parental affection at an all-time low, boys wanted you for themselves, girls jealous of you, all the male staff were child predators.. Really, the list goes on." She embraced her former friend in a hug. It was unexpected, but to Nicole now experiencing emotions after the past three years, she sunk into the hug. It was warm.

Nicole: "You can let go now."

Jecka: "R-Right, sorry. You've really had it unfair, but you were a terrible person."

Nicole: "At least I'm not a villain."

Jecka: "At least."

Nicole looked behind Jecka, seeing a few maids working dutifully in the background. Jecka had managed to read the message from Nicole's facial expression.

Jecka: "Wanna come inside?"

Nicole: "Sure..?"

Jecka: "Don't worry about the maids, they won't bite. As long as you're not filthy."

Nicole: "What happens if you're filthy?"

Jecka: "Well it would be a surprise indeed."

The two of them entered the mansion and it wasn't long before they were approached by a dozen maids.
