~Tess Pov~
Friday Evening
"What? No I was just-," I tried to explain."-just what? Cheating?," Hope shrugged her shoulders.
"No. Christian and I were-," i fumbled my words
"Oh so there's a Christian and you?," she questioned me. "Didn't think that was possible considering all the hugs, kisses and i love yous," Hope continued. "Clearly it was fake,"
"Hold on, wait a minute. No, I love you. That right there, was a huge mistake," I spoke with conviction, pointing back at Christian. Hope stood face to face with me. Her narrowed eyes leveled at mine.
"I just think that-" Christian started in. Hope interrupted.
"-I'm sorry. Who are you again? Oh, right." Hope quipped off Christian. "Tess, I don't give a damn about your sexuality, nor you being with a dude. It's that fact that you don't have the decency to breakup with me before you fuck someone else," Hope exclaims.
"Hope, I don't want to break up. I saw how close you were with Malia and I got caught up with him," my voice quivered.
I took a step towards Hope, she then stepped back, "are you being forreal? Malia is the reason for your actions? She might like me but she's nothing more than a friend. Where is your trust?," Hope shouted.
It got silent. I looked at Hope, she looked at me. I lifted my eyebrows, then looked down. Hope crossed her arms letting out a scoff. "I swear, sometimes you make me miss Ren,". She walked out of the store and I simply let out a sigh. She misses Ren.
Christian came from behind the counter and laid a hand on my shoulder for comfort. "Don't fucking touch me," I snapped around quickly. He jumped back. "This is your fucking fault,"
"You're joking. Tess, you were feeling me the same way I was feeling you. You just didn't want to admit it," he snapped back at me.
"The literal love of my life just walked away because of some shit you pulled," I stepped closer pointing at his chest.
"Oh babe, it's not my fault you kissed a boy and liked it," he snarked.
I rolled my eyes. "That's not even how the song goes,". I pushed him out of my way, heading to gather my things, "I'm leaving,"
"Goodbye Tess, it was nice working with you," Christian smiled and waved goodbye.

Friday Night
It was unusually dark driving home tonight, the rain didn't make it any better. My driving was shaky and I could barely see, I couldn't tell if it was from the raindrops on the window or the tears in my eyes.I can't believe I cheated on Hope. Thoughts were clouding my brain. We didn't officially say we were over, although we should be. I don't want to be, I made a mistake, I'm hoping she can see that.
Just as I didn't think the night could get any worse, I've almost made it home when my shit brown station wagon breaks down. I pull over to the side of the road. "Damnit Damnit Damnit!," I screeched, hitting the steering wheel. I run my hands through my red hair, "fuck it we're walking" I breathed. I walked thirteen minutes in the darkened night mixed with pouring rain to my house. It felt like I was outside for hours.
I made it into my home soaking wet. I tried to shut the front door quietly. "Tess honey, is that you?," my mother spoke out.
"Yes, I'm home," I said with a trembling voice.
My mother came around the corner from the kitchen, "It's late are-why are you wet?," she questioned me.
"The car stopped again," I told her.
"Is that why you're crying?," she followed up. She knew me, she knew me well."I did something really bad mom, and now I'm going to lose everything I love," my voice quivered as tears fell from my eyes.
My mom pulled me into a hug, "Oh no little one, you still have me. You still have me.," she assured me.

Saturday Morning
I walked down to the kitchen for breakfast only to find that there wasn't anything made. Usually my mother has breakfast ready for me and we have a long conversation about how good the day will be but that wasn't the case this morning."Hello little me," mom said sweetly.
I gave her a confused smile. "Um hey. Have you eaten?," I asked her."No, I wasn't really hungry this morning," my mother said walking from the refrigerator to the counter. "Did you want a breakfast?,"
I furrowed my brows, "well you alw-if you don't mind, please," I pleaded.
"Of course not. I know you love breakfast time," she gave me a frowning smile. "Breakfast is a very important meal to you and you love it so much," she stated, pulling a plate of waffles she had already made from the oven. "I would hate to have you lose breakfast because you've taken advantage of the title," my mom nodded at me with a raised eyebrow.
I paused as I took the plate of waffles. "Mom, I didn't mean to, I feel terrible. I apologized, and I know that doesn't make it better but I-I don't know what to do now. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt her," I cried. My mom came around the counter to face me, she put her hand on my shoulder.
I softened my eyes "Mom, are you upset with me?," I asked.
Mom sent me a faint smile, "I'm just trying to see where your head is at,".
