The lantern maker, Scipio Razven, is on the run when the Rouge Sunstroyer attempts to steal a new lantern powered by a mysterious, alien liquid fuel called the Autumnix.
The chase continues in the Xsimr world where the Glittered Inktraitor and his alternate self, Casmiel Doronai, seek the assistance of swordsman Killian Decuir and his son Drave Decuir, the Fairy Queen's employ.
Together, the two Glittered Inktraitors and the Decuir family follow Scipio's lantern in outer space, hoping to acquire the liquid fuel, before it falls into the vile clutches of the Rouge Sunstroyer.

Light fell from the rafters, diffusing sparkles on the wooden floorboards, swept clean with no dust particles. Darkness shuddered, trembling as shadows recoiled from the light.
Beams flashed as lanterns swayed, crafted of elaborate designs, but none could hold a candle to the golden white light in the far corner of the room, shining brightly with the debut of its spectacular appearance.
The swaying lanternlight convened with the motionless candlelight, working together to illuminate a young man as he sat alone at his desk. Gothic black spirals encircled the flat surface, descending like ribbons tugged by a cat.
