Maloi's POV

I've been busy this past few days dahil malapit na exam namin. One week na rin ang lumipas  since nagtransfer si Mikha dito sa school namin.

She's part of the volleyball team. I think nagstart sya last Wednesday, a day after nyang magtry-out. She's also been the talk of the school since she came here. With a face like her, mabilis lang yung popularity nya. She gain a lot of admirers. And naging close na sila ni Maki ever since na tinulungan nya sya sa mga bully.

Lagi sila sabay kumain, minsan inaaya nila ako but dahil lagi kong kasama sila Colet, I politely declined their invitation.

You might be thinking bakit updated ako sa mga ganap ni Mikha sa buhay, it's because araw-araw syang nagsasabi sakin. Despite her fierce aura and expression, she's a softy inside and masayahin. She can easily interact with anyone na gugustuhin nya. She even asked what club that I'm part of kasi ayaw daw sabihin ni Colet. Natawa naman ako dun kasi grabe kung mang gatekeep yung best friend ko.

We're on our way ni Colet, Aiah and Gwen sa canteen. Gwen is the school student council Treasurer and same circle of friends din namin ni Colet.

When we arrived sa canteen, we heard commotion so we went immediately kung nasan yun. Nagulat ako when I saw Mikha and Dustine fighting each other.

Sinuntok ni Dustine si Mikha then ganun din ginawa ni Mikha. Nung ma-out of balance si Dustine, biglang hinawakan ni Mikha si Dustine sa collar and pinned him against the wall at mukhang nasasakal si Dustine because his face turns to red.

"Ms. Lim. Let him go!" Colet said in authority pero hindi nakikinig sa kanya si Mikha and patuloy lang sa pagsakal kay Dustine.

"I said, let him go!" Once again, parang walang naririnig si Mikha. I decided to stepped in. Colet tried to stop me advancing towards Mikha pero hindi sya nagtagumpay.

"Let him go Mikha. You're killing him." Madiing sabi ko sa kanya then place my hand sa braso nya signalling her na that's enough. I saw the cut on her lips na nagdudugo and sugat sa knuckles nya.

She pushed him one more time then let him go. Dustine gasped for air and cough. "Bring Mr. Mayores to the clinic now. And you Ms. Lim, fix yourself and go to my office." Seryosong sabi ni Colet.

"I'll accompany her." Sabi ko.

"What? Why?" Mabilis na tanong ni Colet.

"Hindi pwede silang dalawa sa clinic. I'll bring her sa clubroom ko since may medicine kit naman ako dun."

"I'll go with you." Colet said in haste.

"It's fine. You don't need to do that." Sabi ko. She took a step forward towards Mikha.

"Don't do anything stupid. If something happen to Maloi or you made her upset, you'll answer to me, got it?" Seryosong sabi ni Colet while staring intently to Mikha's eyes.

I saw Mikha just smirk. Nagulat ako ng biglang kunin ni Mikha yung kamay ko at hilain ako palapit sa kanya.

"We're leaving Ms. President." Walang ganang sabi ni Mikha. Nakalabas kami ng canteen at lahat parin sila nakatingin samin.

Dere-deretso lang yung lakad namin Mikha and nung mapagtanto ko na magkahawak parin kamay namin, ako na yung humila paalis.

Hindi rin nagtagal at nakarating na kami sa clubroom. Binuksan ko ito and told her na umupo muna habang kinukuha ko yung medkit.

Umupo ako sa harap nya and sinimulan yung pagset-up ng mga gagamitin kong panglinis ng sugat nya. Buti na lang at sa labi at kamay lang yung natamo nyang sugat.

"Bakit kada na lang may gulo, nandun ka?" Tanong ko habang nililinisan yung sugat nya.

"I only stand for what I know is right."

"Like picking a fight with someone?" I sarcastically retort.

"He's a bully. Galit ako sa mga bully." Hindi na ako nagsalita pa and tuloy lang sa paglinis ng sugat nya.

"Hindi mo dapat inisin si Colet. Having beef with our school student council president or kahit sino pang member ng council ay ikakapahamak mo."

"Well, if yung magaling mong presidente may ginagawa about sa mga bully sa school, I don't have to deal with them. Wala sanang gulo." Napatingin ako kay Mikha and she's serious when she said those words.

"She's doing the best she can. I know hindi mo nakikita yun pero marami na syang nagawa sa school and sa mga students dito."

This time, sya naman ang hindi na nagsalita. Colet is my friend, I'll fight and defend her kahit sino pa yan. Kasama nya ako sa lahat ng hirap nya and ganun din sya sakin. Nagsimula na akong linisin yung cut sa labi nya. Ang lapit ng mukha namin sa isa't-isa and I'm trying my best na hindi sya tignan sa mata kasi pakiramdam ko nakatingin sya sakin.

"She's lucky to have you Maloi. I envy her for having someone like you as her friend." I met her eyes after she said those words.

I don't know how long we've been staring at each other's eyes. There's a part of me na gusto kong makilala ang isang Mikha Lim. May mga tanong ako sa kanya na hindi ko matanong dahil haka mahirap masagot para sa kanya.

I cleared my throat and nilayo yung sarili ko sa kanya. "I have a deal with you." Sabi ko. She kept silent kaya tinuloy ko.

"I'll let you be my friend in one condition."

"And what is it?"

"Stay out of any trouble. Kahit anong trouble pa yan. Kapag nalaman kong nakipag-away ka kahit kanino, our friendship will be over." She studied me for a moment analysing whether if I'm being serious or not.

"I'll try my best to stay out of trouble." Masaya nyang sabi. Napangiti naman ako ng makita ko yung masayang ngiti nya.

We decided na lumabas na ng clubroom. Naglalakad kami papunta sa classroom since magkaklase naman kita.

"So, since friends na tayo, is there any place you want to go? I'll treat you, kahit saan pa yan." Tanong nya.

"Para saan pa?"

"For us to get to know each other. Meron bang magkaibigan na walang kaalam-alam na kahit na anong detalye ng buhay ng kaibigan nya?" Katuwiran nya. She's got a point tho.

"Ok, let's have our first official gala tomorrow after school." Sagot ko sa kanya. Tumango lang sya sa sinabi ko.

"And Mikha, prepare your answers kasi marami akong itatanong sayo." Dagdag ko then nauna ng pumasok sa room kasi nakarating na kami.

"See you later Maloi, may meeting pa ako sa presidente natin eh." Paalam nya sabay lakad palayo sa classroom.

There's when I realized na hinatid nya lang ako sa classroom. Palihim naman akong napangiti dahil dun.
