Severus pov.)

James Potter has been ignoring me like a plague. Ever since I called Lily a dirty-blood. Surprisingly, me and Lily made up and it's been a little bit since then. There hasn't been any pranks or bulling since Potter started avoiding me.

Even Black left me alone and spells wasn't being shot in my direction in the hall. Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black, of course, seemed quite a bit worried about the bloke.  They was his best mates after all.

Regulus Black, the elder Blacks younger brother, and who was also in Slytherin, has been eyeing Potter for a while now and seems disturbed with his subdued actions. It was nothing like Potter to not send a jinx towards someone in Slytherin. Or pull a prank in the hallways. I'm not surprised Black number two hasn't asked his brother what was going on with Potter, they seem to have a rocky relationship. Not that Black would say anything about his best mate.

"Prongs!" I hea the strange nickname for Potter being called out from no one other than, Black. Lupin and Pettigrew was right beside him, looking around as well. "Bloody hell where is he at?"

I just watch them pass without a second glance at me. I follow them because, why not? I mean it could totally be a prank meant to lure me in. I wouldn't put it past them. Oh well. I'm curious and curiosity often killed the cat.

It was Saturday, so they'd usually be outside by the lake. Potter would be throwing that snitch in the air and messing his already messy hair up even more. But now it didn't seem like it was for attention. What changed with him.

They stopped, so I hid in the alcove, that was conveniently right next to me, I watched Lupin pull out a piece of parchment from his robes?

"I solemnly swear I am up to no good." Lupin says, pointing his wand at the parchment. The three of them hover over it.

"The shack? Wasn't we just there? Is he hiding from us?" Black sounded a little hurt if my hearing was correct.

"I don't know, Padfoot." Pettigrew said, or more like squeaked.

"Mischief managed." Lupin said putting the parchment away.

'Mischief managed? Shack? I solemnly swear I am up to no good? Potter hiding from his best mates? What the bloody is going on?' I thought to myself and Black, Pettigrew, and Lupin made their way back to wherever Potter was.

I stayed in the alcove and just pondered over the Marauders for a few moments. They seem genuinely worried over Potter. I shake my head and go to find Lily. She might know what's up with the certain Marauder. Maybe.

I find her in the library, looking through books that relate to charms.

"Hey, Lily. Are you busy?" I ask her before offering to hold the books in her arms already.

"Hey ,Sev. I'm not busy. Just trying to find a few books on charms, that I can try next year. What's up?" Her brilliant green eyes flicked up to mine and then back to the shelf. She pulled off one more book and led the way to an empty table.

"Well, it's about Potter." I said, keeping my voice low. She looked up from the books she was sorting.

"Oh, Severus, you aren't still going on about James are you?" Lily groaned.

"Hear me out, Lil, there has to be something going on. The other three blokes was looking for him and bypassed me without a second glance! No jinx or spell, or even a snarl. So I followed them and then Lupin pulled out this piece of parchment looking thing and pointed his wand at it. He said, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." Then Black said, all three was hovering over it, something about Potter hiding! In a shack or something. He said how they'd just been there and Potter wasn't there. After that, Lupin said "mischief managed." So something definitely has to be going on, Lily."

She was quiet again, before saying, "You followed them? That was an incredibly stupid thing to do, Sev, you could have been hurt. And a parchment? That's a definite secret and how the whole population of Hogwarts does not know is somewhat frightful. And a Shack? The only thing like that is Hagrid's Hut, I think. Severus, you might be right. Something is going on."
