Ok, this is my first time writing like anything, so don't judge if it's really bad..
Chapter 1-
"MOOOOOM!" I shouted, my brother Justin wouldn't shut-up playing his stupid guitar while I had to study for a huge biology exam the next day -- which I was so not ready for! I could never study around here. I don't feel like I matter in this house, I'm just the smart geek who knows everything. No one even listens to what I have to say. My mother yells to me and Justin to come downstairs to get dinner, me and Justin leaves our rooms the same time he gives me a shove and walks on. Why do I get treated this way? I whispered to myself. I take my supper up in my room and study a bit while I eat, I then hear a knock on my door, I lay down my books and plate - it was mom she sat down next to me and said, "Alicia, Me and dad have got the news earlier this week that our jobs are transferring us to Toronto"-- she paused. I thought to myself, Oh my god, we can't be moving again, I'm just getting used to this school, we move a lot because of my parents jobs. "We are leaving you guys here-" she began "It's only going to be a year, we are trusting you and knowing that you'll be responsible- well we hope. Your father is talking to Justin about this and we're leaving tomorrow morning." She sat there quietly waiting for a reply, "Oh," I said, "Why didn't you tell us earlier- you're leaving tomorrow?!.." I paused, "You're leaving me alone with him.." I didn't like the fact I would have to spend a full year alone with my brother, and probably a few of his friends, which he has over almost every night. "Well, you should get sleeping, Long day tomorrow Alicia. Sleep well princess, remember I love you lots, just calm down a little, everything will be fine." she said softly, she grabbed my plate from supper and went to leave my room. Wow, that's the nicest thing she has probably said to me, I thought to myself. She was about to close my door, "MOM!" I shouted "what sweetie?" she said quietly "I love you too mom." She giggled and closed my door. I then put my books away and got into my silk pajamas and crawled into my bed and drifted off to sleep.
