Chapter 8:
I woke up and heard Riley yelling out to me "Yeah, I'm up!" I got up and got dressed and tied my hair into a messy bun and ran out of my room about to go downstairs, Riley grabbed my hand and stopped me he pulled me close "Good morning beautiful" we smiled at each other and he leaned in and kissed my lips softly , My morning was pretty good now, I felt better. "Are you walking or do you want a ride with me to school" he asked "I'll get a ride" I smiled, we went out and got in the truck my phone beeped *1 NEW TEXT MESSAGE* It was from Justin! Homebro: Hey, they are sending mom and dads bodies out today, the funeral will be Wednesday.. I wont be able to make it, I'm sorry. I put my phone back into my pocket and sighed I thought, how could he be so calm about this? it's our parents.. how could he miss the funeral.. They never got along but still.. We arrived to school and I got out of the truck the same time as Riley, everyone stared with surprise. Yeah, I know a geek like me getting out of the same truck as the most popular guy! I actually felt lucky. Someone said to Riley "Hey , what are you doing with her? she's a LOSER!" the words broke me, Riley said " I know man, She's not cool at all, her bro asked me to give her a ride. I was going to make her walk, but she begged me!" he said giving me a disgusted look. LIES LIES LIES I thought, He is embarrassed to be seen with me! I knew it! I tried not to cry, i just ran off. Everyone was laughing at me. My day went from great to a complete MESS! It was time to go home, I got in the truck with Riley. Not one word was said the whole way home, just complete silence. First thing we got home I ran upstairs and slammed my door and began to cry, what do you expect.. Heartbroken.. parents are dead.. I can't hold it in anymore. This is the time I need my mom to comfort me.. But shes not here, and she wont be anymore. I realised crying wont bring my parents back, but it felt good. There was a knock on my door "Come in" I said. It was Riley "Hey I'm sorry" his face will full of guilt,I coudn't stay mad at that face, but I didn't feel that it was right to forgive him.. "okay," I paused "I just want to be alone, please?" I continued. "Sure, How about I order Chinese food for us?" he suggested "Yeah, I'd like that" I said and took out my laptop and got on facebook and messaged Ashley, Hey, you know that boy I was talking about, he totally left me today! I felt like nothing.. I need you! and i hit Send. She replied quickly, I'm leaving tomorrow! I'll be there Wednesday, time enough to attend the funeral. xo girly. I read it then shut my laptop. I ate supper then went off to bed.
