Chapter 7:
I woke up before Riley, I took my phone of my bag and checked *7 new text messages. 4 missed calls* I read the texts- Homebro: ALICIA! TEXT ME BACK IT'S IMPORTANT! Homebro: Alicia, you there?! please call me back... it's bad! Homebro: Alicia ITS ABOUT MOM AND DAD! TEXT ME BACK! ... I began to tear up.. I couldn't read no more, I dialed his number and called him.. answer! I thought. "Alicia! I've been waiting for you to call! where are you?!" he said rushing "i-it don-n't matter-" I said trying to stop myself from stuttering "what happened.. is mom and dad okay?" i continued, "Alicia.." I could hear him cry, I began to cry because I knew something was not right "They were involved in a shooting, they were 2 of the 38 people killed." That moment I lost it i hung up, I began crying.. Riley woke up "hey-hey whats wrong?" he asked me, I looked at him and just continued crying, he nodded and put his arm around me and bringing me closer to him "If you want to talk, i'm here" he said softly i nodded, I felt better in his arms but that didn't change anything.. my phone beeped, it was from facebook, I haven't been on it so long, i checked it and i had 99 notifications and 20 message's! woah! who are these from? they were from people posting on my wall about my parents, some said "Sorry for your loss" , "here for you" same as the messages.. my phone began to ring, it was Ashley! I let it go to voice mail, I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone , i listened to it., "Hey girl, I heard what happened, I'm so sorry . here for you, listen only 2 more weeks till summer, then I can come down! just give me a call if you need anything!" I smiled a little, "we should go back home, we have school tomorrow, plus you have to study" Riley said letting me go "yeah," i said upset. we arrived back to my house, not much was said in the truck, i ran upstairs and studied alone in my room with my door locked, Riley played video games, the usual. I feel asleep without knowing, my alarm went off. "Alicia", "Alicia" "Alicia! , wake up"
