Story: Late-Night Revelations

The night was still young when Ye-na called for a gathering. She had brought alcohol from home, intending to make their last night memorable. Ha-eun and Yu-chan, who were familiar with drinking, agreed to join despite Dong-hyun's initial apprehension. "Let's not overdo it," he warned, but Ye-na's animated enthusiasm was contagious.

As the night progressed, stories were shared, and laughter filled the air. Yu-chan, ever the joker, kept everyone entertained with his antics. But as the hours passed, one by one, everyone started to feel the effects of the alcohol. Ha-eun, who had paced herself, remained sober. She watched over her friends, making sure they were comfortable before carrying them to their rooms.

Unable to sleep, Ha-eun wrapped herself in a blanket and headed to the beach. The cool night air was refreshing, and the sound of the waves was soothing. As she walked along the shore, she spotted a beautiful shell that resembled the night sky, its surface glistening under the moonlight. She picked it up, feeling a sense of accomplishment and peace, and placed it in a glass jar with her other collected shells and corals before heading back to bed.

The next morning, Ha-eun was the first to wake up. She packed her things and then woke her friends. Dong-hyun, always the practical one, poured cold water on Yu-chan to wake him up, causing everyone to burst into laughter. They had a simple breakfast, cleaned up, and left the accommodation.

Exhausted from the night's revelry, they fell asleep on the bus, and Dong-hyun woke them up upon arrival. Ha-eun's move-in date was a day earlier, so she headed straight to her new home. With Ye-na's help, she moved her belongings and ordered jajangmyeon for lunch.

While organizing, Ye-na noticed the absence of family photos and innocently asked about it, unaware of Ha-eun's strained relationship with her family. Ha-eun avoided the question, changing the subject. That evening, after Ye-na left, Ha-eun found comfort in her new, quiet home and fell asleep, unaware of the incredible events awaiting her the next day.
