Chapter 21: Telling Piccolo The Truth

Using Instant Transmission, Goku visited Cell at the tournament platform to gain an understanding of his power.

Just when Goku, Piccolo had his chance to talk to Serenity. He approached her as he called out to her.

Serenity turned to face him. "Yes, Piccolo?"

"We need to talk..." - Piccolo glanced over his shoulder and saw Gohan was talking to Krillin and Bulma. He then looked at Serenity as he continued his sentence - "... alone."

She nodded. "Okay."

Then the two went to the private room, so they could have a conversation.

"Okay, Chichi, what was that about?" Piccolo asked in a stern voice as he placed his hands on the hips impatiently.

Serenity gave him a confused look. "About what?"

"Calling yourself Neo Queen Serenity, causing Goku and everyone confused and those scouts to attack you. You seem very different since three years ago you were upset. Now you weren't the real Chichi we knew." Piccolo said.

"It's because I'm not the real Chichi you know," Serenity admitted.

"Have you kept a secret from us?" He asked.

"I don't have a choice," Serenity said.

"Really? Tell me, how did you know about the Sailor Guardians and the crystal you and Goku had stolen? Are you one of them, Chichi?" Piccolo said.

She let out a frustrating groan, "I keep telling you! I'm not Chichi! I'm not her! I am Neo Queen Serenity, the ruler of Crystal Tokyo!"

"You sound crazy, Chi," Piccolo said, rolling his eyes.

"Look, Piccolo, I have been stuck here in Chichi's life for three years now! You wanna know why I'm different, well, here it is! I was switched into someone's place. I became Goku's wife and Gohan's mother. However, when I woke up, I thought for sure it was Endymion, but it wasn't. It was Goku instead. I was lucky I can remember everything from my old memories. Just when I realized Chichi is responsible for running my life, but she doesn't seem to remember at all." Serenity explained.

Piccolo was shocked to hear this. "So you are not the real Chichi we know."

"I'm the real Neo Queen Serenity. I'm the real Sailor Moon. I know my husband King Endymion and my friends the Sailor Guardians. I'm not Chichi. I'm not someone you think I am." Serenity said.

"I see now, so you're not someone I know. You look different when I see your appearance first." Piccolo said.

She nodded. "That is true, but you can't tell everyone that because no one believes us. They even still think I'm Chichi, not the real now."

He sighed. "Okay, but what should I call you then?"

"Call me Serenity."

He let out a soft smile. "Very well, Serenity. Your secret is safe with me. But I know the way how to get you back."

"What?" Serenity asked.

"The Dragon Balls," Piccolo answered.

"The what now?" She said, confused.

"The Dragon Balls can grant your wish. Trust me, it will work, but you'll have to collect them for months." Piccolo said.

She blinked in shock. "Months!?"

He nodded. "Yep."

Serenity collapsed to the ground, groaning. "Now what am I going to do...!?"

Piccolo sweatdropped at seeing this. "How about you train with Gohan before Goku gets back? I'll take Jupiter with me to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. I'll see you in a year."

"Don't go! I need your help finding them!" Serenity then started to cry just like when she was a crybaby back then.

But it was too late. Piccolo already left. It was then Goku came back with the Instant Transmission.

They asked Goku if he thought he would be able to defeat Cell, and Goku calmly laughed it off, claiming that he didn't really know and thought Cell would probably beat him to the ground. This comes as a surprise to the others, as they don't understand why Goku is acting so aloof.

Piccolo then reminded Goku that he, Serenity, and Gohan could go back into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for one more day, but Goku refused the offer. Once again, this comes as a surprise to the others. Goku told them that he, Serenity, and Gohan would be training outside of the Chamber rather than subject their bodies to any more strain.

This agitated Vegeta, who expressed his anger that Goku was always one step ahead of him. Then he wondered exactly what secret Goku and Serenity were hiding.
