~Readers POV~

Blazing fires... the screams of people I once knew rang in my ears. Plegia had come, and seized my city. I was alone, and scared. I could only watch as those I loved were slaughtered. My escape near impossible with smoke filling the air and clouding in darkness.

"Get this one!" Someone yelled from behind. Before I could even react, I felt a harsh slash on my back, as blood leaked though my torn clothes. I turned back over to see two soldiers standing over me. One used their sword and slashed across my arm, and the other used the lance and slashed my stomach.

The lance user was about to raise his weapon above his head, when flaming boards of fire came from the second floor of this burning house, and sent the man to death before he could even tell what happened. His friend instantly broke from it, leaving me alone in the blaze.

I struggled to my feet, painful and difficult to stand. I felt blood leaking all over me, the sickening scent mixed with the smell of fire and bodies burning. I managed to get out of the burned house, and tried to find anyone I knew, but anybody that wasn't already escaped, was a charred crisp of a carcass. I didn't have any family, just other villagers I knew.

I could barely keep my focus, my head radiated with pain and ringing in my ears. I couldn't stop this bleeding, and wondered if that would be my end. Blood loss was getting to me, as my vision was going blurry, and it became difficult to concentrate. I found a stone foundation from someone's house now burnt, and took a seat next to the foundation on the grass, leaning my back on the stone. "Just a... small break..."

But I was exhausted. I couldn't even tell if I was dying or not. My eyes grew heavy, and while I tried to keep them open, I can't. I couldn't even keep myself leaning upwards, and soon just fell onto my right side, curling up as small as possible. Ringing in my ears got worse and worse, I felt a heavy cough come over me. My last memories I had, were screams of my people, now laying dead.

~Lucina POV~

"Another one... dead." I told the solider with me.
It was a long battle, harsh and with many casualties on both sides. However, this battle was among one of the strangest ever encountered. Everyone was either dead, or alive without a scratch. No one was injured, just either unharmed or already gone. I think it's making Aunt Lissa feel bad, because the soldiers don't need help if their not injured, and... well, Lissa can't exactly heal the dead.

"Another over here! Dead!" Sumia called from around a building, seeing her Pegasi's wing flap. This felt strange, as in war, there's always those injured. But here, nothing of the case.

"Do you find it weird we have yet to find a single person alive who is wounded?" Asked Robin.

I glanced to my mother. "Absolutely. It's like they were only going after the kills, and making sure their target dead before moving on. They left no one alive who was damaged. We may want to investigate their dead, see if they had anything strange."

"Well, they also seem to have died in one of two ways only." Sumia came over. "Either they were burned or slain in combat, But never a combination. They died only though being burned or only though wounds sustained in battle, they didn't get burned first then die in combat."
