So I had no idea that 'Fallen Ike/Dark Ike' was actually a thing until I looked it up. Apparently it's from FE Heros which is why I never heard of it cuz I haven't played that game.
But it was partly inspired by, get this, the Fire Emblem TCG (Cipher) where one of the cards depicts Ike as if he touched the medallion and lost control. I didn't even know Fire Emblem HAD a TCG. Wish I did sooner though, because they don't make cards anymore.
Anyway, such a cool card makes you wonder what kind of alternative universe we would end up with if Ike went berserk like Greil did. Because of that, I decided to make my own little one shot story about it. Also put in some quotes from Fallen/Zeal Ike in here
Head up; there's 2 endings to this! You get to choose. You'll know when you see it because I'll label them. One good, one bad.
I usually don't do multiple endings, but this one I was so torn on what would happen and even I can't just have sad endings. So there's two.Enjoy!

Mist was running away in the cold rain as fast as she could. Her legs begged to stop, but she couldn't, knowing the fate that would happen if she did. Her tears in her eyes made it hard to see in the dark of night, and the flashes of lighting made it only worse by lighting up then dissipating so fast.
She couldn't believe what had happened. She had been told to run, to escape away from the one she loved so dearly. She thought her brother knew better, but even the strongest of those fall victim to the ultimate flaw; curiosity

Mist had Lerhan's Medallion off for only a brief moment. She had it on her dresser in the Mercenary fort, then was called away by Rolf, leaving it behind.Meanwhile, Ike had been looking for his sister, and went to her room. He noticed she wasn't there, but oddly, the medallion was. It was strange as Mist usually never took it off at all. He just stared at it, remembering his father telling him to never touch the medallion, and scolding him harshly for doing so when he was a child. He remembered what Volke had told him about what it really was and how Mist and his Mother were the only non-heron people who could hold it safely. He knew of the supposed dark god within, and the chaos it could cause.
But a nagging voice in the back of his head had been calling lately. After learning about what the medallion really is, he understood why his father told him not to touch it. Yet the voice grew louder over the last few days.
A voice telling him to touch the medallion
What was this voice? Ike had never felt this way before. He knew the problems the medallion could cause by holding it, so why did he become so enthralled by it? Why now was his curiosity peaking?
The voices said something about how it would grant him great power; great strength to protect those he loved. This peaked his interest, as he never had been told it gave power. If he could control himself under the energy of the medallion, could he use the power himself? His father couldn't, but maybe he could?
It drove him mad. He had been losing sleep over it, as the voices could never be silenced. He had always been told the medallion only ever brings chaos and suffering, yet now these voices said it would grant him even greater power to protect those he loved.
He did everything he could to stop these voices calling to him, but anything he did would prove futile. They would not leave unless Ike did the one thing they told them to do.Ike couldn't help it. The voices grew louder by the hour, and his desire to protect those he loved was getting to him. The others in the fort had noticed Ike talking to himself the past few days, but he would always deny it, they figured it was just stress from overworking.
