Luke POV:

I decided to sing in my room until Zander gets here. I put on some music and start to sing.

"I've been through ten highschools
It starts to get blurry
No point planting roots
'Cause you're gone in a hurry"

If I wasn't so afraid of being in the spotlight, I might be a good singer. But that's why I chose the drums, because everyone is too busy staring at the singer to notice me in the background.

"Freeze your brain
Suck on that straw get lost in the pain
Happiness comes when everything numbs
Who needs cocaine
Freeze your brain
Freeze your brain"

I hear my door creak open and Zander steps in.

"Does your mommy know you eat all that crap?" He grins at me, and I feel myself blushing.

"Not anymore." I continue singing the song while Zander listens. He joins me in the chorus. He's not terrible, but he's definitely not confident in his singing.

"Freeze your brain
Swim in the ice get lost in the pain
Shut your eyes tight when you vanish from sight
Let nothing remain"

Me and Zander keep singing until we get to the high note. He sings the regular version, but I go for the high note.

"Don't open a vein

Just freeze your brain"

We pause for a moment when the music ends, and then he drags me closer to him and kisses me gently.

"You're so talented, Lukey..." His voice is quiet and sweet.

"Awww, thank you Zan. I love you, thank you for singing with me."

"You're welcome. I love you too."
