Shehnaaz stormed into her father's office, still fuming from her encounter with Siddharth (who she thought was Aman).
"Papa, I don't want to marry him!" she exclaimed. "He's arrogant, rude, and only cares about himself. I can't spend my life with someone like that!"
Her father looked up from his desk, surprised by her outburst. "What are you talking about, Shehnaaz? Aman is a great guy from a good family. He'll take care of you."
Shehnaaz shook her head. "You don't know him, Papa. He's not what he seems. I met him and he was so nasty and disrespectful. I don't want to marry someone like that!"
Her father's expression turned stern. "Shehnaaz, this marriage is important for our family's business. You need to understand-"
But Shehnaaz interrupted him, her voice firm. "No, Papa. I won't marry him. I'd rather marry someone who respects me and treats me with kindness. Not someone who only cares about himself."
Shehnaaz's father, desperate to save the marriage alliance, resorted to emotional blackmail. "Shehnaaz, if you don't marry Aman, you'll be disappointing me and our entire family. What will people think? You'll be ruining our reputation..."Shehnaaz, feeling guilty and pressured, reluctantly agreed. "Okay, Papa... I'll marry him."
But, unbeknownst to her father, Siddharth and Aman were celebrating their successful plan. Siddharth had pretended to be Aman and behaved badly, making Shehnaaz say no to the marriage. Aman was thrilled that his brother had helped him avoid a loveless marriage.
Siddharth grinned. "Victory is ours, bro! Shehnaaz said no, and we're free from that arranged marriage trap!"
Aman chuckled. "Thanks, Siddharth. You're a lifesaver. I owe you one!"
Meanwhile, Shehnaaz was unaware that she had just fallen victim to a clever scheme, and her father was none the wiser...
Aman walked into the house, whistling a tune, expecting to hear good news from his father. "Hey, Dad! I heard Shehnaaz said no to the marriage proposal. That's amazing, right?"
But his father's expression was stern, and his words left Aman stunned. "Actually, son, Shehnaaz has agreed to marry you."
Aman's jaw dropped. "What?! No, that can't be! She hated me when we met. She said no, didn't she?"
His father shook his head. "I'm afraid not, Aman. Shehnaaz has changed her mind, and the wedding is back on."
Aman felt like he'd been punched in the gut. He couldn't believe Shehnaaz would agree to marry him after the way he (or rather, Siddharth) had behaved. He was trapped, and his last hope had vanished.
"No, no, no! This can't happen!" Aman exclaimed, feeling desperate and cornered.
Siddharth and Aman hatched a plan to continue the charade, with Siddharth still pretending to be Aman. They decided to take it to the next level, with Siddharth (as Aman) telling Shehnaaz that he wanted to meet her again, this time to introduce her to his "family friend", Munshi.
Shehnaaz agreed to meet him, still unaware that she was actually talking to Siddharth, not Aman. But when she arrived at the meeting spot, she was surprised to see Siddharth (still pretending to be Aman) alone, with no sign of Munshi.
"Where's Munshi?" she asked, her eyes narrowing suspiciously.
Siddharth (still pretending to be Aman) looked at Shehnaaz with a piercing gaze. "Shehnaaz, I didn't bring you here to meet my family or to discuss our wedding plans. I want to know why you said yes to me after initially saying no."
Shehnaaz hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But Siddharth's intense eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and she found herself opening up to him.
Shehnaaz was about to reveal the truth -
that she was only marrying Aman because of her father's wishes - when Siddharth (still pretending to be Aman) beat her to it.
"You're marrying me for my money, aren't you?" Siddharth said bluntly, his eyes piercing through hers.
Shehnaaz felt a sting from his words, and her emotions got
the better of her. Without saying a word, she turned and quickly left the place, leaving Siddharth (as Aman) looking after her, a mix of guilt and understanding on his face.
Siddharth grasped Shehnaaz's hand, his eyes burning with intensity. "Why are you still saying yes to this marriage, Shehnaaz? Is it really just about the money? Tell me, how much do you want?"
Shehnaaz's eyes flashed with anger, but Siddharth's grip only tightened. "Let me go, Aman!" she spat, trying to wrestle her hand free.
But Siddharth held firm, his gaze piercing hers. "No, Shehnaaz. I want to know. How much is your dignity worth? Your happiness? Your life?"
Shehnaaz's anger gave way to tears, her voice cracking. "You don't understand, Aman! You don't know what it's like to struggle, to feel trapped!"
Siddharth's expression softened, his voice gentling. "Maybe I don't, Shehnaaz. But I want to understand. I want to know what it's like to be you."
As they stood there, hands locked, eyes locked, the air between them crackled with an untold chemistry. It was as if the universe had conspired to bring them together, to make them see the truth in each other's eyes.
The passion in their conversation was palpable, the tension between them almost tangible. It was clear that there was more to their connection than just a mere marriage of convenience.
