Siddharth couldn't shake off the memory of his intense conversation with Shehnaaz. As he lay in bed, he found himself thinking about her more and more. He recalled the way her eyes sparkled with anger, the way her voice cracked with emotion, and the way her hand felt in his.
He tried to brush it off as mere sympathy, but deep down, he knew it was something more. He felt a strange attraction to her, a connection that went beyond mere pity or understanding.
"Why am I thinking about her like this?" Siddharth wondered, his mind racing with questions. "She's supposed to marry my brother, not me. And yet...and yet, I can't help but feel this way."
He tossed and turned, his thoughts a jumbled mix of guilt, curiosity, and desire. He knew he had to push these feelings aside, but he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to explore this attraction, to see where it might lead.
Little did he know, Shehnaaz was thinking about him too, their conversation replaying in her mind like a stuck record. The seeds of attraction had been sown, and it was only a matter of time before they sprouted into something more.
Shehnaaz's father beamed with joy, his eyes shining with happiness. "I'm so glad you agreed to this marriage, beta! Aman is a great guy, and I know you two will be very happy together."
Shehnaaz forced a smile, her heart heavy with mixed emotions. She was sad about the arranged marriage, but her father's joy was infectious. She couldn't help but feel a little happy for him, seeing how much this meant to him.
"Yes, Papa, I'm happy too," she said, trying to sound convincing.
Her father's face lit up even more. "And the best part is, Aman and you will have six months to get to know each other before the wedding! You'll have plenty of time to bond and build a strong foundation for your marriage."
Meanwhile, Mahira, Shehnaaz's step-sister, seethed with resentment as she watched her father beam with joy over Shehnaaz's engagement to Aman. Mahira had long harbored a secret crush on Siddharth, Aman's brother, and the thought of her step-sister marrying into the same family was unbearable.
"Why did Papa have to choose them?" Mahira fumed to herself. "Why did it have to be Shehnaaz, of all people?"
Mahira's mind raced with schemes and plots, her eyes narrowing as she thought of ways to sabotage Shehnaaz's engagement. She couldn't let her step-sister marry into the family she had her own sights set on.
"I'll find a way to stop this," Mahira vowed to herself. "I'll make sure Shehnaaz doesn't get her hands on Siddharth's family. He's meant to be mine, and I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen."
Date in Francisco hotel
Shehnaaz arrived at the Francisco Hotel, her heart still heavy with thoughts of the previous day's encounter with Siddharth. She had agreed to this date with Aman only to please her father, but her mind was elsewhere.
As she entered the hotel lobby, she spotted Aman (actually Siddharth) waiting for her, looking dashing in his suit. Shehnaaz's heart skipped a beat, her pulse racing as she approached him.
"Hey, Shehnaaz," Siddharth (as Aman) said with a charming smile, offering her a bouquet of flowers. "You look stunning."
Shehnaaz forced a smile, her eyes avoiding his. "Thanks, Aman. You look great too."
As they walked to the restaurant, Shehnaaz couldn't help but feel like she was living a lie. She was here with a man she didn't want to be with, pretending to be someone she wasn't. The weight of her father's expectations hung heavy on her shoulders.
Siddharth, sensing her unease, tried to make small talk, but Shehnaaz's responses were brief and distant. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was trapped in a web of deceit, and the only way out was to confront the truth.
As the date progressed, Shehnaaz couldn't help but notice a change in "Aman's" behavior. He was more attentive, more caring, and more genuinely interested in her than she had expected. He asked her questions about her life, her dreams, and her passions, listening intently to her responses.
Shehnaaz found herself feeling more at ease, more comfortable, than she had thought possible. And as she looked into his eyes, she saw something there that gave her pause - a flicker of affection, a spark of connection.
It was then that she realized, with a start, that "Aman" was not just - he was actually starting to develop feelings for her. And as she saw the sincerity in his eyes, she felt her own heart begin to flutter in response.
The lines between reality and deception began to blur, and Shehnaaz found herself wondering - was this really just an act, or was something more genuine brewing between them?
As the sun began to set, Siddharth (still pretending to be Aman) took Shehnaaz to the beach, where they sat down on the sand, watching the waves roll in. The warm breeze carried the sweet scent of saltwater and coconut trees, and the sound of the ocean created a soothing melody.
As they sat together, they began to open up to each other, sharing stories and laughter. Shehnaaz felt a sense of comfort and ease with "Aman" that she hadn't expected, and Siddharth found himself feeling more and more drawn to her.
As the moments passed, their conversation flowed effortlessly, and they found themselves lost in each other's eyes. Without realizing it, they leaned in closer, their faces inches apart. The tension between them was palpable, and it seemed like the whole world had come to a standstill.
Shehnaaz's heart raced as she felt Siddharth's warm breath on her skin, and Siddharth's pulse quickened as he gazed into her eyes. It was as if time had stopped, and all that mattered was the two of them, suspended in this moment of raw attraction.
Though they didn't realize it, their bodies had inclined towards each other, their lips almost touching. It was an unwanted, yet undeniable, romantic moment - one that would change the course of their lives forever.
