A cry for help

Karkat's POV:

Why? I'm sitting here, locked in my fucking bathroom with a fucking knife! I am shaking and tears are going down my face, I can't take any of this any more, I lift my sleeve up, revealing cuts and scars, I take the blade and carve "freak" into my arm again. I bite my lip and close my eyes tight trying not to alarm Kankri, as if he would care, if he found out he wouldn't shut up about this. I sit there as blood runs down my arm. I attempt to stand up, but I get light-headed and collapse to the floor, I look at my arm and blood is still flowing out.

"Shit, shit shit shit!"

I pull myself over to the counter and I pull myself up. I hold onto the counter tightly and grab my phone, I phoned Sollux, even though I think he's at work.

"Hello?"

He must have just woken up, I can tell by his voice

"H-hey, I need help"

My voice is weak and shaky.

"KK?! What's wrong? Are you ok?!"

"J-just g-get over here"

I collapse to the floor and I almost lose conciousness.

"KK? KK?! Are you still there?!"

I try to answer but nothing comes out, all I can do is lie there. I hear the phone click, meaning he hung up and should be on his way. About 40 minutes later I slightly hear a knock at the front door and my brother's voice.

"Hell9? Wh9 are y9u?"

I don't think Sollux answered, I think he just ran in.

"KK?! KK?! Where are you?"

I hear doors open and then Kankri's voice.

"I 6elieve he is in the 6athr99m"

I hear that then I pass out.

Sollux's POV:

I am running through Karkat's house, I reach the bathroom and start knocking.

"KK!!!! KK, open the door!"

No reply. I turn to his brother.

"Ii2 there a way two open thii2 door?!"

"Yes there is, 6ut it will take a few minutes"

"Fuckiing 2hiit!!! We don't have a 'few miinute2!' Ii2 there another way?!"

"N9......"

I honestly said fuck it and started to kick at the door, attempting to break it down. It took a few kicks and it bursts open and the first thing I see is Karkat laying on the floor.

"KK!!!!"

I run over to him and turn him on his back.

"Call an ambulance!!!!"

Kankri runs in and looks at me holding Karkat, his face turns pale right away.

"Diid you not know he thii2??"

"Sadly, n9, I did w9nder why he hides away a l9t"

"Go call an ambulance now!!!!"

Kankri runs out and grabs the phone.

"911 what's your emergency?"

"We need an am6ulamce! My..... my 6r9ther is 6leeding a l9t"

"How is he bleeding sir?"

"He...... he cut himself....."

"Okay sir, you need to keep the call on so you can tell us any information we need"

"9kay, what sh9uld I d9?"

"We need you to stop the bleeding, put a towel on it and apply pressure"

I hear Kankri running towards the bathroom. He bursts in with a towel.

"Here, st9p the 6leeding"

I take the towel and apply pressure to Karkat's cuts. He shifts a little bit as a reaction.

"Kk! Don't move, iit'2 ok"

He makes a noise and stops moving. About half an hour later I finally hear sirens, then a knock on the door. Kankri runs to let them in, I hear footsteps rush over to the bathroom. Two men and a woman step in with a stretcher.

"Keep him steady, don't move him to much"

The one man carefully moves him from the floor to the stretcher and I keep applying pressure to his arm. They escort him to the ambulance and was about to shut the door.

"Can II go iin there wiith hiim? Plea2e?"

"Sorry kid, no can do"

I hesitated before saying this.

"But, II'm hii2 boyfriiend"

There was a moment of silence. The man sighs.

"Fine, hop in"

I quickly jump into the back and sit beside him. The man shuts the door and I hold Karkat's hand tight.

"Why diid you do thii2 KK?"

I sigh after muttering that.
