A/N:

Here is an update, as promised. Yay! I have nothing else to say.

Edit: Edited again.

Edit: How many times will I read over this and edit it?!

Hazel:

I had already been sorted into Slytherin house for a total of two days, but I didn't even know my housemates' names. Tonight was a chance for me to get to know them better. Though us demigods had gotten permission to use the Room of Requirement, we decided it would be best for us to sleep in our respective house. After all, we needed as many allies as we could get. Everyone kept telling me that 'Slytherin's a horrible house' but I didn't believe it for a second. The only downside is that I would be separated from my brother and the others. Oh well. At least I had Draco.

Draco had been sorted into Slytherin for the same reasons as me, and he was also meant to be kinda like a 'double agent'.

Then the final bell rang, and students filed out of classrooms. Time to meet her dormmates.

As soon as I entered, I heard someone say, "Well, look who finally decided to join her own house." I turned to see Draco, lounging on a couch. He hadn't even bothered to get his homework out.

"Shouldn't you be doing homework?" I asked.

"Shouldn't you be meeting your housemates?" he countered. I sighed, and replied, "Fine."

I walked into the fifth years girls' dorm, and I saw a dull stone room, decorated with personal pictures and a fireplace in the corner. There was a window on one side, looking into the bottom of the lake. It kind of reminded me of the clear panels on the Argo II, where if we were in the water, you could see all the marine life.

Six four-poster beds complete with curtains flanked the room, and of those other five people in the room, two were sitting on their beds in silence, doing homework, the other two were also doing homework, except it looked like one was coaching the other, and the final one was keeling on her bed, digging through her messy trunk. It was that one, who noticed me come in. I recognised her as one of the people in that defence class that Nico was teaching. She had laughed so hard when I beat Harry up. I could already tell she was very light and mischievous.

"Hi!" she called. "You must be the new student. I'm Grace. Grace Delaney." She had shoulder length blonde hair, and her wand stuck out of her Slytherin robes precariously. Then she looked around expectantly at her dormmates.

The girl who was coaching the other one through her homework looked up. "I'm Emma Yang, and that's Maya," she said, gesturing to the other girl. Emma was tall looking, with long black hair, which she had tied into a ponytail.

"Maya Imbruglia-Wong," she replied finally lifting her head from where she had been squinting at a star chart.

I looked at the other two in the room. "Who are you?" I asked. They replied without looking, saying, "Millicent Bulstrode," and "Pansy Parkinson."

"Don't mind them," Grace said. "They're just very antisocial."

I plonked my stuff on the only empty bed, next to Emma. "Watcha doing?" I asked.

"This one," she said, pointing to Maya, "Can't do astrology for the life of her. Even though she is fine at every other subject, and getting detention with Grace. Can you believe that Grace has two weeks of detention?"

"Says you, Emma. You never get detention!" Grace protested from the next bed over.

"That's because I don't put permanent sticking charms onto toilet seats in the Gryffindor bathrooms!"

"That's because they were saying things about Avery!"

"Shut up! Some of us are trying to focus!" Millicent yelled.

"Don't mind her. She hates everyone. Don't take it personally," Grace stage whispered. She was met with a herbology book thrown at her head, which she dodged. The book hit the wall with at thunk.

"Who's Avery?" I asked. Maya turned to me and replied, "Avery is a little first year girl in Slytherin who Grace has practically adopted. She is like a little sister to Grace. They've known each other for years."

"Well you think permanent sticking charms on toilet seats are bad, back at my brother's old school, a pair of siblings called the Stolls put landmines around Cabin 10."

"I like you. We will get along well." Grace stated.

"Cabins?" Emma asked.

I mentally smacked myself for my slip. "The school is set out more like a summer camp, because there are a lot of hyperactive kids." I replied, thinking quickly. Emma nodded.

"Well, I'm almost finished helping Maya with her homework, do you want some help too?" she asked. I nodded gratefully.

Soon the dinner bell rang, and I went down with Maya, Emma and Grace. Draco had already gone down. I sat at the Slytherin table with my new friends. Soon, I saw Will dragging Nico through the doors, and I waved to them. They came and joined us.

"Guys, this is Will and Nico. Will and Nico, Emma, Grace, Maya." I said, pointing at each person in turn. Nico looked a little doubtful at first, which made sense given how untrusting he was, but Will jumped right in.

"Hi! I'm Will, and this is Nico!"

Reyna walked in, with Luna and another Ravenclaw girl. As soon as she saw us, she said something to Luna and the other Ravenclaw, before walking over to sit with us.

"Hi guys! Who's this?" she asked, gesturing to my new friends.

"This is Emma, Grace, and Maya," I repeated. "Emma, Grace, Maya, this is Reyna."

"You're the new students, right?" Grace asked.

"Yep." Will replied, popping the p.

Then, we were rudely interrupted by one of the Slytherin prefects. "All students are to sit with their own houses," she said in a clipped tone, like she had memorised it out of a rule book.

"Take it up with the teachers, Georgia," Grace said, smirking.

"Do not call me Georgia. It's Georgie." she replied, getting visibly angry.

"Well someone's moody today," Grace stage-whispered.

"Detention, Delaney!" she yelled. 'Georgie' stormed away angrily. As soon as she left, we all burst into laughter.

"Her face!" Maya gasped between laughs. Emma just watched the chaos in amusement, before saying, "That's the fifth time this week. Grace has a total of eight different detentions already." That just made us laugh harder. I smiled to myself. Slytherin wasn't all bad. It had begun to feel like a community, one that she was part of.

A/N:

So, putting time limits on myself worked. I swear on the river Styx that I will get at least one more update done in the remaining 7 hours I set myself.
