A/N:

Ok, so for this chapter, there's some lore that I needed to come up with. I'll give you a summary.

- Each house has 6 prefects and a head boy and girl.
- There is two prefects from fifth, sixth and seventh year, making up the house council.
- All of the prefects and heads together make up the student council.
- Usually, all the house prefects meet together in their own house rooms, before electing a different prefect each week to go up to Dumbledore's office.
- The elected prefect can bring a special guest.

Now, the layout of the prefects meeting area.

- The tower that Dumbledore's office is in has 4 floors.
- The first floor is the elevator, and nothing else is in it.
- The second floor has the main prefect meeting area, and 4 house rooms around the sides.
- The third floor has the Heads Of Houses (Snape, McGonagall, Sprout, Flitwick) offices, in the same layout as the second floor, with the main area being like a chill zone.
- The fourth floor and roof are Dumbledore's office.

I came up with this with my friend, because she insisted I have lore, soooo yeah.

Kayla Meyer Joyce:

As a Hufflepuff prefect, I was required to go to the fortnightly meetings with the other prefects from fifth, sixth and seventh year. This week was a little different. The head of houses had decided that it was best for us to start meeting together, instead of in separate houses. Most weeks, after meeting in out house areas, each house would pick one representative who would then go to Dumbledor's office. I sighed, before sitting down in the quiet room where most of the others were already seated. But that's when it all started to go downhill.

I noticed a short, stumpy looking woman, clad in all pink, sitting in a corner with perfect posture, and I genuinely thought it was a new toad species, before I realised it was Umbridge. McGonagall thought so too, because when entered with the other teachers, I could watch her face in real time as she realised who it was and scrunched up her face in disgust.

"Professor Umbridge. Why are you gracing us with your presence tonight?" she said in a forced politeness.

"I am merely inspecting these prefect meetings to make sure they are up to code with the Ministry. We wouldn't want any unwanted conspiring happening, would we?" Professor McGonagall pierced her with such a withering glare, that it could have killed a dragon. A couple other professors like Snape, Sprout and Flitwick gave her dramatic side eyes, but Umbridge ignored them completely, scribbling something down on her Ministry standard clipboard.

"Are you going to begin, or just sit there?" she said in an overly sweet tone. Professor McGonagall, shot her with another look, and projected something into the center of the room with her wand.

"Today's prefect meeting will be about house unity. Again. Now, last time we had a discussion about this, someone brought up the topic of how certain houses get more points than other houses." We all knew she was talking about Gryffindor. Although McGonagall was from Gryffindor herself, it would take an idiot or a very stuck up person to not see the blatant favouritism. We all knew it, but only Dumbledore and a couple prefects from Gryffindor (*cough cough* Ron *cough cough*) kept denying it. One of the older Ravenclaw prefects stood up.

"We could create a system that shows how many house points you get for any given action, so that extra points are not given biasedly," Penelope said, subtly shooting the Gryffindors a look. I nodded along, with the majority of the student council, including Hermione and Mina.

"We could have a copy in every classroom, so that all rules are the same," Nadia added, "And make it so that every teacher carries a copy too."

"But what if say, a Gryffindor student does something same as some other student, but does it better, therefore deserving more points?" Ron objected, "Because I doubt Slytherin could actually do something nice," he added under his breath.
