The days swiftly passed by. My Mom arrived home just yesterday, and my punishment was lifted.

I felt nothing about it though. I didn't quite feel the burden of being grounded because school requirements have started to pile up now. And now it's Saturday, I have my phone back, I have my ipad back. I could definitely start crafting our capstone research.

But I am honestly fine with it.

My laptop was dead-batt and so is my ipad kaya wala akong choice.

I opened my messenger application to check if it was an important message. There was at least four new messages at ang isa ay galing pa kay Ate Chel.

From: Adhara de Guzman

Good luck, Ica.

I read. I didn't reply because I find it unnecessary. They were just sent pictures of our schedule for the college admission examination after all just in case makaligtaan.

He rarely asks me how I was doing. And if he does, sa tuwing alam niyang may problema lang.

From: Van Yacovino

"How are you? I missed you. Talk to..." I read without opening it up. I contemplated for a while until I decided to just ignore it. And I don't think I can face another problem for now. After all I had a lot served on my plate.

I opened Ate Chel's message. It was indeed a surprise to accept a message from her on messenger dahil siya mismo ang nagsabi sa akin noon na she cannot stomach learning the complexities of it. That's why it's a surprise, really, to read her messages now.

I smiled proudly. Ang linis niya naman mag-type.

From: Richelle Peñaflor

Her vocabularies and all.

It's getting weird.

Napakagwap—

I firmly closed my eyes, finally getting my hunch confirmed. I sighed and continued reading.

—Napakagwapo pa naman niyang bata. Mag-iingat ka palagi, Ferry. Nandito laang kami para sa'yo. Kumain nang maayos ha?
