Elijah sat down at home alone. No Kol. No Rebekah. No Klaus. No Finn. As he sat there he went back to his old relationship with Gia. His very own nightmare. His very own abuse that he suffered. He never told anyone. His relationship went south at the same time of the crash. No one apart from one person knew that he too was leaving someone. He too was fleeing. But it took his younger brother to make him see sense. To make him want to leave that relationship. Elena wasn't the only one to blame for the crash. Elijah was too. He knew he has to tell Elena. Cause he too was going way too fast. He didn't see her breaking the lights. He didn't know. Cause everything was a blur. But how could he tell her. Risk losing her.
As he sat there going through everything that happened to him. The beatings. Her sticking a knife into his leg. The put him downs. The name callings. How he wanted to leave so many times. But he couldn't. She would always lie to him. Always saying she would never do it again. Promising him that she would be nicer to him. Lies upon lies. The way she had him under her thumb. The controlling. The mental emotional and verbal abuse. As well the physical abuse. He couldn't handle it. The amount of times he wanted to leave this world just to get away from her. The amount of times after the crash he wished it was him who had died. He didn't want to admit it to anyone. What he had been through. Cause they might think of him as weak. And he couldn't have that. He didn't want anyone to think he was weak.
But he had no choice now. He couldn't and wouldn't let Elena go on thinking that she was the only reason why the crash happened. It wasn't in him. Not anymore. It was the reason he couldn't get serious with Hayley. The only person he wanted to get serious with is Elena. He wants to be in a relationship with her. But right now he has to focus on getting himself better. A person that deserves Elena. He has to find away of getting past it. Not him being too afraid to be in a relationship. He knows how Elena feels. He knows what she went through. The put downs. The mental emotional verbal and physical abuse. He has to be able to move on from it.
As Elijah got up to leave. He sat back down. He didn't know how or where to start to tell Elena his story. He pushed himself up off the chair. Walked over to the door. "I have to tell her. - I have no choice." Elijah said to himself. "There is no other way. - no point in keeping it to myself anymore." Elijah spoke to himself again. He looked back at the chair. All he wanted to do was sit back down. What is the point? Why would she believe me? Elijah now began feel doubtful. So he went and sat back down. He sat there and looked over at the clock it seemed to be standing still.
He sat down for a another few hours. Still pondering whether or not or how he was going to tell Elena. He wasn't so sure about telling her now. He needs to be able to tell her. But he didn't know if he should tell her. Cause she won't believe him. That's at least that's what his minds is telling him. "She will believe me. - I know she will." Elijah told himself.
This time he got up. " I'm going to tell her. - right now. - I have to." Elijah said he opened the door. Went to the car. And drove off. He stopped at the shop to pick up something. Then he rang Elena.
