They went into the living room. Sat down opposite of each other. "What do I owe this unexpected visit?" Elena asks. "I've got something to tell you." Elijah spoke. "You can tell me anything." Elena spoke. "It's hard to explain." Elijah said. "What does it have to do with?" Elena asks. "The crash in New York." Elijah spoke nervously. "What about it?" Elena now curious. "It wasn't only your fault." Elijah paused. "It was also mine." Elijah finished. "What? - how could you let me think it was all of my fault." Elena shouted. Elijah flinched. Elena noticed.

"Can I explain please?" Elijah asks. Elena gave a nod. Too scared to speak in case she loses her temper again. "I was in an abusive relationship too. - her name is Gia. - I was fleeing that night. - I told no one. - but my little brother figured out and convinced me to leave her. - I was driving so fast that everything was a blur. - I didn't see you breaking the red light." "No I don't mind at all. - pretty much the same as you. - controlled. - physical mentally emotionally abused. - she stabbed in my leg. - she had me believing that my family hated me. - she made me totally reliant on her. - my self esteem was at all time low. - to where I wanted to end my life. - and after the crash. - I kinda wished it was me that died." Elijah spoke. "How did you leave?" Elena asked. "I made up my mind. - my little brother died because he wanted me safe. - so I waited until she went away for a girls weekend. - I'd packed my bags and left. - left a note saying it's over. - changed my number. - haven't seen her since." Elijah said. "I'm so glad you got out of that relationship. - I am sorry that you went through all that. - now that you've admitted it to me. - which is the first step to admitting to someone. - what now?" Elena spoke. "Telling my family. - get help. - I've been so ashamed of it. - that I didn't want anyone to think I was weak. - it took me hours to come here and tell you. - cause I think you will think that I'm weak." Elijah said honestly. "I don't think you are weak. - I think that you are one of the strongest men I know. - I know the feeling. - it took guts to come here and tell me. - not knowing my reaction to it. - I know I lost my temper. - but I didn't know the full story. - and I've should have known. - cause knowing you over the past few weeks you are the nicest person I've met. - and there was a reason behind it. - so I am sorry for losing my temper." Elena spoke. "Thank you for saying all of that. - I do want to be in a relationship with you. - but both of us need some time to heal and get back on track." Elijah spoke.
