"You should have seen Tammy, she was amazing!" Finch gushed for the thirty-seventh time.

Now it was Terra who looked to be the jealous one.

Finch was re-enacting the mission for those of us who missed it. From her perch on top of Nightwing's shoulders, she commanded everyone's attention easily.

"Black Beetle had Waterfall cornered, but she used the water in the pipes with the Reach additive to spray him back with the force of a thousand fire hoses!"

"It wasn't a thousand..." Tammy turned red, staring at the floor.

Finch continued, "And then Robin and I used our birdarangs to blow up the wall so that we could all escape! Well, except for Blur and Impulse, who had been stapled to the wall and just vibrated through.

"We all ran into the cornfields, but Black found us again! And then, out of nowhere, this Green Beetle appears! And he starts attacking Black Beetle! And he's a Martian!"

"Woah!" Gar and Rachel remarked, impressed.

"Black Beetle set the cornfield on fire, so Blur, Impulse, and Waterfall put that out to help Green Beetle, while Robin, Arsenal, Brass, Blue, and I kept Black occupied.Then, all three beetles combined their sonic cannons and totally destroyed Black's armor! You should have seen it!" Mara pumped her fist in the air in victory, signalling the end of her story.

Connor, La'gaan and I applauded Finch politely as Nightwing set her down and she gave a little curtsy.

Nightingale was busy congratulating Robin, who wasn't even trying to hide his blush, and Sarah, who was staring at the floor with a goofy grin, on a job well done leading Alpha and Beta squads. Jaime stood next to Sarah, holding her hand and grinning at her proudly.

I knelt down, pulling Beast Girl aside. "Are the two of them," I pointed two fingers at our two beetles, "Together?"

Rachel nodded eagerly, grinning like a madman, when Garfield interrupted. "Jaime kissed her after therapy! Tye's little 'announcement' made him a little jealous, in addition to cluing him in on Sarah's feelings for him." Beast Boy folded his arms, proud of his being in-the-know.

Rachel giggled and covered her mouth with her hand. "That's why Bridget's been so grumpy lately."

"Wait, what do you mean?" I looked over at Blur, who regarded Jaime and Sarah with absolute anger.

I turned back to Rachel and Gar to ask them if they knew any more, but the green twins were bounding over to Tammy and Terra, who were gathering with the other team members around Green Beetle, who had been brought to S.T.A.R. Labs for questioning. He may have saved the kids, but that didn't totally clear him. Especially since our interactions with a third of the Beetles we did know were less than positive.

Sighing, I mentally filed the note away for later, and went to join the semicircle in the empty space between Connor and Emma

"I'm not very comfortable with this." M'gann whispered, standing in front of Green Beetle in the middle of the semicircle. "Delving into your mind, i-it's...an intrusion."

Now what happened to my old friend, M'gann? The bubbly one, the bold one, the eager one? I looked at Connor, to ask if he knew anything, but he shook his head with a dark look. Alright, one more thing to the investigation list.
