7 Years Later...

Fast forward seven years and I'm 15 now, Claggor is a big 14 year old, Mylo is 14, Vi is 15, Powder is 11, Ekko is 12, and Vander is just old as shit.

We were a unit, a family, a gang, but on the streets we were known as Vander's kids. Because of Vander's reputation of being a big and scary badass, we were fairly well protected. However, we still learned how to fight and protect ourselves.

Vi and I were best friends, and we did everything together. Growing up I always had a little thing for her, but no one else knew. We were similar, but we also had our differences. For example, Vi was the muscles whereas I was the brains. For my tenth birthday Sevika gifted me twin daggers, but they were too plain. So what did I do? I made them retractable and flammable. Vi was also a natural leader, and I was her second. I obviously followed her willingly because who wouldn't follow her.

Powder was my favorite person alive (besides Claggor). She was like my little sister, and I always complained to Vi about how she got so lucky to have Powder as a sibling. Claggor always got annoyed when i'd say that. Powder and I would often share a bunk, and I'd help her make her monkey bombs and other gadgets.

Mylo was Mylo. He was just annoying. No further relationship. No, just kidding. But actually he's the most annoying person on this planet. He'd always pull me into some stupid scheme he'd cook up. Like one time, he stuffed an orange in MY jacket pocket because he didn't feel like buying it so we had to spend the rest of our afternoon running from the grouchy old lady that ran the produce cart he stole from.

Ekko would tag along often, and I hung out with him a lot because we both worked at Benzo's. I was the one who gave him the infamous nickname "Little Man".

When I first met him we were running away from enforcers, after Mylo pissed them off by drawing a big ass penis on a bill board. We were sprinting past Benzo's when all of a sudden the gang and I get shoved into the shop. It was Ekko who acted quickly and pulled us in. "Woah there Little Man," I said out of breath. "Sorry, I just saw you were running from enforcers and wanted to help," Ekko explained. "You did good Little Man," I pat him on his back. "I'm y/n, and these are my friends, Vi, Powder, Mylo, and my brother Claggor." I saw his face turn bright red when I introduced him to Powder and so did Vi. Vi and I made eye contact and burst out laughing. "So little man, what's your actual name," Vi asked still giggling. "Uh, Ekko, it's Ekko."

That's when our family became complete.
