Riley pov

Me and Val had a date today and I knew I had to look good but also a little casual, I chose Jean shorts and black shirt with the side hanging over (kinda like Val's shirt when we first see her)

Val is supposed to arrive in about 10 minutes so I was waiting in my room while watching my phone, after a little while she texted me that she was here so I ran down stairs and opened the door

"Hey"

She said with a smirk I said hey back and said bye to my parents, me and Val were talking while walking.

We decided to go get ice cream from one of the little ice cream stands

Val pov

Riley suggested that we went to get ice cream and I agreed, I went for the classic vanilla and she went for mint chocolate chip "very classic Val" she said teasingly "so what it's better then mint chocolate chip" I said looking at her as she gasps "you take that back" she said looking away

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry" I said giving her a peck on the forehead she smiles and we get our ice cream, as we continue to walk again Riley starts to giggle a little and I look at her and tilt my head in confusion

She looks at me again and laughs "what is it" I ask still very confused "you got a little something" she points to my nose and I notice I have some ice cream on my nose

Riley uses her thumb to wipe it away then kisses my nose "you missed" I said as we stopped walking and faced each other "huh-" I move closer to Riley giving her the will to move back but she doesn't Riley finally closes the gap between us

She finally breaks the kiss and we stare into each others eyes "I love you" I said looking straight at her "love you to" she said while we started walking again

We walked to a nearby beach and decided to watch the sunset, a random kid walked up to Riley and gave her a flower (this kid was a boy) "aw how cute" Riley said as the kid smiled the kid looked at me with a look saying fvck of and I was not having that, this kid was lucky I had patience

I looked at the kid with the same look and he just walked away while still staring at me when we passed I felt Riley slightly bump into me and looked at her "what are you crushing on that kid" she said playfully "Riley!" I said looking away "I'm kidding, I'm kidding, he's like 6 years old" she said hugging my arm I leaned my head on hers

We found a spot to sit and decided to sit there for the rest of the sunset, right before it got any darker we decided to walk back to hers when we got back to her house I got a text from my mom saying *dont come home you lesbian freak* so she had finally found the flag in my room

I was on the verge of crying and I had already left Riley's I decided to walk back and knocked on her door Riley's mom opened the door and looked surprised that I was back

"Val what are you doing here" Riley's mom asked (a.n Riley's mom knows that Val and Riley are dating) I asked her if I could come inside first and she agreed

She called Riley down and we all sat in the living room (a.n Riley's dad is on a business trip) i told them about how my parents are homo and that I've been hiding that I'm Les from them

They seemed to understand and Riley's mom offered me a stay here for as long as I needed I agreed and Riley took me to we room, she gave me some of her clothes to wear which surprisingly fit

"So Val you okay" she asked looking at me "yeah I'm okay" I said looking at her with a reassuring smile "can we cuddle" Riley asked looking away kinda embarrassed I chuckled at her boldness "ofc Ri" I said pulling her on the bed and wrapping my arms around her as we drifted of to sleep
