without even thinking you turn to face angela and realise there in about a 5 cm gap and quickly jump back but all without seeing your ex at the door. "hello babe how was your day" she says whilst walking in, you quickly shove her out calling her a delusional person and to leave you alone Angela has made her way back to the couch and sat next to Lucy asking who the person at the door was and she explains it was your emotionally manipulative ex girlfriend "oh god should we go help her get her out?" angela asks starting to worry that it might escalate into something worse "just stay back just now her ex hadn't tried anything physical and we don't want to get involved and make it something physical" Angela agrees with Lucy and they both watch the interaction from the couch

"why are you here we broke up weeks ago and don't call me babe you broke up with me after you'd realised i wouldn't give up my dream of being a police officer" y/n explained "I'm only here to knock some sense into you and your silly dream it's gonna get you no where in life the only thing that job will get you i killed baby" your ex says "Ashley i've said multiple times we are not together and if that job kills me so be it i would die doing something i love and with the people i met a long the way they would most definitely do there best to help" you snap back "but i'm just so lonely without you i can deal with the backlash of losing you but not in this way if i were to lose you it would see you dead in a ditch somewhere and i don't want to see that let's just grow old together" "i don't want you anymore ashley move on" and at that point Angela had enough listening to reason from Lucy and made her way to the front door "who are you and why are you bothering my girlfriend?" she exclaimed, you feel like a little fire just got ignited at the word girlfriend coming from her mouth and as she wraps an arm around your waist the fire feels like gasoline got thrown in it, "who are you i just want to talk to y/n in private we have things to talk about and i'm sorry did you say girlfriend?" "as a matter of fact yes i did now please leave us alone" as she tightens her grip around your waist to reassure you like she saw Lucy doing at the hospital. but just as that sentence came out Ashley went for Angela.

Angela quickly dodged it but not without consequences as ashley's punch hit you and that's when you'd finally realised she's lost by pushing her out the door and locking it then running to your room, Lucy quickly followed behind but didn't go in and gave you a couple minutes to your and Angela just stood there frozen with guilt not knowing what to do nor say in that moment, she quickly gathered her stuff and got her keys only having 2 drinks played into her favour and left leaving you and Lucy alone as she opens the door she sees you curled into a ball in your bed and she quickly walks over to reassure you that it wasn't your fault and it's gonna be okay you sit up hair sticking to your face and she sits on the edge of your bed and in that moment you craved physical contact of any sort, you leaped into her side and she lies down with you until you fall asleep she texts Angela that your doing okay and to not worry about it but Angela worries a lot.
angela's POV

*god i'm so fucking stupid i should of just listened to Lucy now I've made it worse i have to apologise*
she thinks, Lucy ended up staying over you wake up with a puffy face you stand up tucking lucy in knowing she had a long night and you check the dead bolt on the door to make sure that it's still in place and once you've calmed your nerves you head to make breakfast and that's when you hear a knock again you are praying it isn't Ashley and look through the peep hole to realise it's Angela you think she's just here for her walkie talkie, "hey y/n i'm sorry about last night i just saw you were panicking and i wanted to know you were okay" she says through the door as you open it you see she has tear stains which you think is unusual becuase out of all your minor interactions she seemed like a confident individual to talk to. "hey i'm okay it was just a little scratch if your wanting your walkie talkie it's in the living room and y is sleeping so can you please be quite thank you" you explain back feeling a little sorry that she had to deal with that last night "thank you and yes i can be quite again i'm really sorry for last night i don't know what came over me" she says on the edge of tears once again "Angela don't worry i'm glad you done that god knows how it would of went if you hadn't plus i kinda enjoyed your arm around my waist" *wink*
Angela blushes a little before leaving with her walkie talkie and use trade goodbyes and you go to wake Lucy up for breakfast.

"hey pup you gotta wake up breakfast is ready" you say whilst lightly shaking her *groans* "cmon i made pancakes and she springs up almost instantly and you chuckle lightly and tell her to be out in 5 and you'll make her one with sprinkles, you are both sat at the table and Lucy constantly asking you if your okay and you remind her that worse has happened and it's okay and then angela comes up as a topic...

"angela came around this morning and apologised but i'm not sure why she did it isn't like she done anything she thought she was out of line but i'm glad we're okay again i can't imagine not having at minimum a friendship with my TO" you say, Lucy sits there shocked to hear Angela apologised knowing she isn't one for reflection or apologies at that as you steer the topic away by saying earth to Lucy multiple times the topic of mid-wilsher comes up and she asks if you had thought about returning "you know i have thought and I'm coming in for a visit type of thing on monday if the phycologist clears me for active duty if not it'll be desk duty until i am cleared but i genuinely think I'm okay" you say "im so proud of you y/n i couldn't imagine what it would be like although take it easy i can see your side is bothering you a little" and then it goes back to comfortable silence.

as your sitting on your couch watching mindless tv your phone rings and you see it's lucy so you answer the phone "hey y/n i've found somewhere but i'm not sure about it so i thought i'd ask before anything" she says sounding a little nervous "okay you sound weird who offered because i don't want to intrude on anyone" you say sounding a little worried "it was Angela i can say no if you want me too but she did say you can stay with her and it'd be no problem almost as a big apology for causing this" she says "it's fine tell her i said i can find somewhere i really don't need an apology" and that's when you hang up and an hour later you hear a knock unsure wither you should open it or not you turn the light off and head to the bedroom to text Lucy but remember she's on shift so you text the last person you should be texting in that moment...
