Chapter 20: A Nice Little Bath

It had been a few days since that battle with the Red Demon, and my future was looking a lot more bright, well if you take to account that I was in a whole new plane that I was somewhat familiar with and seemingly no idea on how to get back home, but nevertheless despite those two issues, I carried on my journey with The Sins as we trekked across Britannia, though seemingly with all the mountains around, it was starting to dawn on me that this was mostly The Scottish Highlands, but I didn't let that bother me one bit.

It was a cool autumn day and The Boar Hat was empty and lonely, except for Me & The Sins, as well as Elizabeth & Hawk, whom were just hanging around doing nothing, I was down in the dining area of the tavern playing with my Watch and it was becoming rather dull just doing nothing at all, "Ugh!", I grumbled miserably, "So boring 'round here.", Then I began thinking about something.

A few hours ago, after we set up shop in another town, Hawk had caught a whiff of my sent and it didn't smell good, "Good Grief Kid, When Was The Last Time You Took A Bath, You reek!", He said rather loudly and quite rudely too (might I add?), and this was choice of words earned him a harsh response to that from Meliodas and the others, and even though I agreed with them about Hawks comment, he did make a good point, even I could smell the mild stench, and told them so, and when they caught a whiff, they agreed as well, but in a more respectful tone, Elizabeth suggested that I'd take a bath, I decided to take her advice to heart, but it was a while until I went and took that shower, for I had been dawdling in that time, and forgotten about it.

Soon enough I was up and heading to The Young Couple's bathroom where the shower was, Meliodas & Elizabeth were already there sitting on the bed when I knocked and came in, I told them that I was going to take a shower, Elizabeth kindly offered to help with a bath, but I politely and rather bashfully declined and said that I thought I can figure it out easily, Elizabeth smiled sweetly and Meliodas giggled rather amusingly by my bashful tone, and he even winked as I made my way into their bathroom.

As soon as I shut the door and locked it, I took a look at the tub, it looked quite simple and easy to figure out indeed, soon I had taken off my clothes and stepped into the shower with a little bit of warm water sprinkling down my body, I decided to wash the stench off with my own personal body wash and shampoo from a product known as 'AXE'.

The scent contained in the bottle was, 'blue mint', and the smell was ravishing, so ravishing in fact that as soon as I opened the bottle, the aroma began to waft through the air, traveling around the bathroom, before seeping into The Captain & Princess' bedroom, and when the scent floated into the room, both Meliodas & Elizabeth were entranced by the amazing aroma, especially Elizabeth who thought that the smell was lovely, "Gosh, I wonder what that wonderful smell is?", She said blissfully, "Not sure, but it sure does smell fresh.", Meliodas replied with fascination.

Just then some of The Others (Harlequin (King), Ban, Gowther, & Hawk) came up to see them, "Hey there guys, what brings you up here?", Asked Meliodas a little surprised, they told him and Elizabeth that there was a strong, powerful, and most handsome smell coming from their room, The Young Couple confirmed their speculation and said that it was coming from the bathroom, Elizabeth suggested that it must've been from me since I was in the bathroom taking a shower, meanwhile I was just scrubbing my jet black hair with shampoo, when I got some in my eye and it began burning, making me let a yell of pain, which in turn caused a panic with The Sins, "Oh No, Something's Wrong!", Said Meliodas worriedly, and without any hesitation they along with Hawk began busting down the bathroom door, and eventually they burst in and the boys and pig immediately regretted it, for once they came over to the tub, I suddenly pulled a gun on them shocking them and told them in a cold, dark tone to "get out" and they were "invading my privacy", it sounded as if I was a thug that someone tried to rob, but found themselves at gunpoint, they panicked and immediately began to run out of the bathroom and the bedroom screaming in fright, surprising Elizabeth, Gowther, and even Diane outside woke up from a nap after hearing the shouting, she leaned towards the The Young Couple bedroom window, knocked on it, and asked them, "What The Hell Was That!?", But before anyone could answer, I stepped out just finishing my shower with a towel wrapped around my body still holding my golden pistol from the handle on my cane, added to that, my facial expression was still looking quite upset after my bath time was rudely interrupted, "Well...", I began sourly, "...the boy's decided to interrupt my shower by bursting in without thinking twice about knocking!", I ended shouting angrily, The two girls and Gowther looked at me with astonishment by my actions, "But Cameron...", Elizabeth began understandably, "...they were only looking out for you, and making sure that you were ok, you can't help that they as well as us were concerned for your life.", "But they should've just knock and asked! JEEZ! What are they stupid or something!? UGH!", I fussed angrily, and and stormed back into the bathroom and slammed the door so hard the whole tavern the shudder shocking everyone.

"Figured something like this would happen today.", Said Gowther knowingly, and decided to head upstairs to the attic to relax, leaving the two girls sitting and staring at each other with bewilderment and a little bit of worry for my well being.

Soon I had gotten myself completely dressed in a new clean pair of two tone blue clothes, when I stepped out of the bathroom my expression had changed from angry to exhausted, "You feeling alright Cameron?", Asked Elizabeth with sounding a little worried, I looked over to her, then over to Diane who shared a look of worry with Elizabeth, then I sighed heavily and plopped down on the bed holding my head as if I had a headache.

"Sorry for being so harsh on your friends madam Liones, I was just disturbed, disgusted, and very disappointed by what happened.", I said gloomily,
"I understand that you guys are genuinely concerned for my safety, but just because I let out a cry of pain doesn't necessarily mean that I'm in danger of getting hurt, I just got shampoo soap in my eyes, the more sensible thing to do would at least knock and check up on me, rather than just instantly break in and look at my exposed body!", I added raising my voice before Elizabeth began gently soothing me to keep my anger in check, I sighed and calmed down and held my face in frustration as Elizabeth gently rubbed my back soothingly.

Soon I was relaxed once again and feeling much better, I thanked Elizabeth and said that I would go and apologize the the boys for being so aggressive and threatening to them, Elizabeth nodded in agreement, and then suggested that I rest for a while so that way I would feel better and not so cranky anymore, I decided that she was right and so lied down in the bed, and closed my eyes and soon drifted off into a nice nap.

Elizabeth decided to stay and watch over me as I slept, Diane decided to go back to her own nap, a few minutes later Meliodas and the boys came into the room looking a bit weary, but calm enough to speak, Elizabeth could see they were still a little shaken by the whole ordeal, "You got him situated Elizabeth?", Meliodas asked, "Yes, he was still a bit upset with the interruption you guys gave him, and he says he'll apologize for his actions towards you boys.", Replied Elizabeth, "No, we (and especially me) should be the ones apologizing to him, since it was our fault for not thinking sensibly.", Said Meliodas shamefully, Elizabeth understood and said that she'll make sure to tell me about it.

Soon the boys left the room and went back to their business, while Meliodas stayed with Elizabeth to watch over me as a rested peacefully on their bed, Meliodas smiled as I layer there snuggled up on his and Elizabeth's bed.

"Adorable little fella, huh?", Meliodas said knowingly, "Yeah, I know.", Replied Elizabeth heavenly, "He's just about the sweetest little boy I've ever met in my life.", She added, "Yeah, I agree on that part.", Said Meliodas knowingly before adding the exception of what happened in the shower earlier, Elizabeth giggled knowingly, and scooted herself closer to Meliodas and gave him a small affectionate kiss on his cheek, making him blush bright red.

Unbeknownst to them I had opened a sleepy eye and listening to everything they said and seen Elizabeth's affection to Meliodas, which made my heart swell with passion, it was truly a romantic moment between them.
