(3RD PERSON)

time skip to lunch time!

Edward and Zip were sitting at lunch together. Zip was being normal, Edward was being a little strange.

Maybe she doesn't want me? Maybe she will hate me? Is she out of my league?

these thoughts lingered in Edward's mind.

"you okay there?" Zip asks.

"oh yeah, uh perfectly fine!" Edward nods.

"are you sure?"

"yes."

"you're not lying?"

"no ma'am."

Zip studies Edward's face. She decides to shrug it off, "you know if there's anything wrong you can talk to me."

"I know, and I will." Edward responds.

"you better." Zip sighs, then she continues eating her lunch. No matter how much the school food tasted like shit, she was starving. Edward stares and her. She looks back at him, "you've been acting strange recently..."

"really?" Edward asks.

"yeah, it's only been a day, but it's a huge difference." Zip nods.

the two look at each other. Curiosity took over Zip, and she didn't even realize how personal that could be. The reason wasn't the worst, but if it was it would be a big problem.

"I didn't realize." Edward tries to play dumb.

Zip totally buys it, "if you say so!"

She went back to all smiles. Edward sighs in relief.

if there actually was something wrong, does he not trust me enough to tell me?

the thought haunted Zip.

Zip and Edward had these delusional thoughts that were pretty negative. Then Zip decides to remove the slight tension, "so, how was science?"

"boring." Edward answers shortly.

"I knew you would say that." Zip chuckles.

Edward chuckles along. Even if it wasn't that funny, he found everything that Zip did was funny. Since when was he such a simp? Since the bet obviously.

Edward thinks of another topic, "how's the little man doing?" He was referring to Chip.

"he's doing well." Zip answers. Chip has seen Edward and Oliver enough to be close to them. Chip knew about Edward's little crush while she didn't. How naïve is this girl? Very.

"is kindergarten going well for him?" Edward asks while finishing his lunch.

"mhm! I taught him how to beat a kid's ass if they mess with him." Zip says proudly.

"wow, you should never raise a child." Edward jokes.

"hey!" Zip crosses her arms.

"well, has he taken your advice? Started any mischief?" Edward wanted to know everything.

"I didn't teach him how to, but he pulled the fire alarm. Our mom and dad weren't too happy." Zip chuckles.

"who's mom and dad would be?" Edward sighs.

"I want to go instead, but my mom and dad tell me that I would just be proud of him." Zip pouts.

"and they're damn right." Edward rolls his eyes.
