(EDWARD POV)
I couldn't believe it. Zip and I were sharing a bed. Not complaining, it sort of felt good. Zip was so warm. I could feel her breath against my neck. That only made me warmer.
it was the morning, but Zip seemed to be one to sleep in. It's okay though. After all, it's just a Saturday morning.
after a couple of minutes I watched Zip wake up. She looked drowsy- well obviously she would be drowsy.
"hey sleepyhead." I smile.
"mornin!" Zip chuckles.
she looked like a ray of sunlight. She stood out in the dark, she filled in the emptiness, she made life more interesting. I really liked that (teehee how do you like my analogy?)
as she started to wake up a little more, we had a decent conversation.
"hey, we should get ready." I suggest.
"okay!" Zip nods. Then she sat up. Damn, it's still like the morning. Does she ever run out of energy?
I didn't really bring my stuff, so I just didn't change. Zip gave me a disposable toothbrush. After getting ready we go downstairs. I didn't see Zip's parents, but I saw Chip.
"hey little man!" I smile.
"hi!" Chip said back.
Zip chuckles, "you know, Chip is very fond of you, Eddie."
there it was again. That nickname that made my heart beat.
"Eddie?" Chip asks.
"oh yeah, Eddie and I are dating." Zip told Chip.
"really?" Chip looked up at me. I nod.
"yeah, your sister really got it out of me." I said.
"he's a pussy." Zip said smugly.
"am not!" I say defensively. I'm not a pussy, am I?
"are too." Zip chuckled. "but you're cute about it, not annoying."
"what does pussy mean?" Chip asks.
"it means-" Zip got cut off by me.
"it means manly man." I save.
"so you don't want to be a manly man?" Chip asks.
Zip smiled at me giving me a look that said: 'he got you there'.
"no, I'm just being humble. It's a very important name, so I want to be humble about it." I explain. I shot a glare at Zip, who was laughing.
"why is sissy laughing?" Chip asks.
"cause she's a dumbass." I groan
"look who's talking!" Zip stopped laughing and pouts.
"I've got better grades than you." I shrug.
"it's just that missing assignment that messed with my grade!" Zip said. I think that's just an excuse though. I doubt it's just a missing assignment.
"but you threw away 3 of your homework pages." Chip told Zip.
Zip froze and bit her thumb in defeat. "we don't talk about that." she said bashfully.
"so those missing assignments are your fault." I said unamused.
"is not!" Zip looked away. "maybe it is."
"why do you two care so much about grades?" Chip asked.
"one, it goes to my college, and two, mom and dad would beat my ass if I fail." Zip groans.
