the cold and popular boy at your school who lives in your neighborhood suddenly takes in interest in you after finding out you own cats and have a job at the cat cafe. you're skeptical, but soon enough you end up falling for him.
i couldn't hear him. i turned around and leaned closer to him to hear better. "can you repeat tha-" he leaned closer to me and his lips softly met mine. i felt the warmth of his body close to mine. my face heated up as he wrapped his arms around my waist. after about thirty seconds, his body slightly lifted off mine. "i want to call you mine y/n-ssi," he stared into my eye with his dark brown eyes. i hadn't prepared myself for this. my face immediately turned red and warmed up. "minho, i love you." "i love you more, y/nnie."
that night, i had trouble sleeping. i couldn't get minho out of my head. my heartbeat had shot up abnormally high when those words came out of his mouth. the next day, minho came over to my house. i hadn't been so excited to see a boy in the entire 17 years i had been living. upon opening the door, he lowered his head and kissed me, hugging my waist. "y/n-ah! move it's chaengi- OH MY GOSH!" i heard my father run down the steps, only to scream a couple feet behind me. he ran up to me and started squealing. gosh, he's so excited he can't even get the words out. "since when did you two start dating?!" he screamed, uncle lee joining in. "yesterday night, while i was over at his house for the math project." "aigo!! congratulations! see, i told you dad intuition never lies! minho-ah, treat y/nnie well," i heard uncle lee whisper to minho. he laughed and his ears tinted bright red. we spent the rest of the day talking and working together. minho had taken photos of me working. a bit after i was scrolling on instagram, i came across the post. he had captioned it, "my lovely y/nnie💗" the post had gotten a lot of attention, which made people blow up my phone. it was pretty obvious by this point, so there was no reason to hide it. just then, i received a text from my phone. it was from felix.
yonglixx: hey y/n, can i ask you something? y/n: yeah what's up? yonglixx: are you with lee know? like romantically? y/n: ...yes.. why..? yonglixx: oh.. i'm happy for you, y/nnie. y/n: why tho? yonglixx: no reason, i hope you're happy with him. y/n: okayy.. thank you..? i guess?
that was weird. he wasn't acting like himself. normally, he's a bright and cheerful boy. i spent the rest of my weekend working on the math project with minho. we pretty finished the project, so i was confident that i could get a good grade. my relationship stayed healthy, as minho had stuck by my side at all times. we were invited to events together since our dads were business partners, and got to know each other even more. i couldn't ask for anything better in a relationship.
it's as if i had found my missing piece.
