The conversation with Adam continued to consume your thoughts while you got ready for your Thursday shift. You didn't really know why though.

I didn't even know the guy's name or what he looked like. It sucks that we don't know what happened to him but it isn't like I knew him or anything. There's no reason for me to be this bothered by it.

Taking a moment, you thought back to Springtrap.

I could ask him about it. He's dodged questions before but surely he can trust me now after we confessed to each other. Surely he'd have no reason to lie to me or avoid explaining what happened.

You sighed, pushing those thoughts to the back of your mind as you decided that tonight wasn't a good night to get into that with him. Things were still new between the two of you and you didn't want to spoil any of that by bringing up heavy topics or making him upset.

The drive to Fazbear Fright didn't act as a respite as you had hoped however as the thoughts only doubled in volume. At this point, you were practically begging to yourself that Springtrap would be able to distract you and get your mind off of things.

Unfortunately, not even your newfound rabbit partner was able to alleviate your anxieties when you finally arrived at your workplace.

He greeted you at the main doors like he always had. He seemed even more excited to see you than usual, earning an affectionate smile from you. His presence only served as a reminder for yours and Adam's phone call though.

The shift itself went along as normal as expected. The two of you talked for hours and you were even able to get Vincent to mention Scott and briefly talk about him. He didn't have much to say about his old coworker besides that he tried to be friendly to the phone-headed man but never had his pleasantries reciprocated.

You tried pressing him to be more specific about their interactions but Springtrap only hesitated before dismissing the topic by saying he couldn't remember the specifics all that well.

The shift ended unceremoniously with the two of you walking back to the front doors like normal. Weirdly enough, even though you still held onto the questions you had, you were content with the repetitiveness of your job and of your meetings with Vincent. Returning to him felt like returning home after a long vacation and just the thought that you found something that made you feel like that made you smile.

There's no reason to jeopardize this, you thought. Why ruin something like this by putting my nose where it doesn't belong? Maybe if I just ignore my questions for long enough, they'll just go away.

Making your way home and busying yourself with small chores before bed, it felt great to collapse into bed with a small smile on your face. You continued to push your questions to the side though but, thanks to Adam not calling you, you were able to eventually fall asleep.

You expected for Friday's shift to go about the same as Thursday's. Waking up, you were able to go about your evening relatively well before the thought of the night guard seeped back into your mind. As much as you wanted to just forget about the entire thing, every time he came to mind, the phantom pain around your neck returned, making you cringe.

Thinking over your feelings from the past two days, you decided that you would just rip off the bandaid and ask Springtrap about the situation. That way, you could hopefully get some kind of closure or reassurance that could put your racing mind on pause. You began wondering how you should approach the subject though as to make it not sound as though you were accusing Springtrap of being the reason for the night guard's disappearance like Adam seemed to believe.
