The breeze blew in her face as Emily Fields walked out of her car and began heading to her favorite place in the world, Vanilla street cafe. She smiled to herself as she saw the small, petite building in front of her. The old building was made of bricks with long green vines attached to the walls. The building was surrounded by a small garden where you could see very few butterflies roam. The building was welcoming and not like a creepy old abonded cabin and even if it was Emily would still love it the same.
She enetered the cafe, hearing the bells go off that go off everytime someone had come in. Emily took of her black fur coat that had covered a white shirt with a small, happy pumkin on it. Even though Halloween was a few weeks ago It was her only clean long sleeved shirt she had left.
She pulled out a chair causing it to make a "Squeak" sound. She then sat down and pulled out her her phone, unocking it and going on to her favorite app, Wattpad. Emily loved to read. She also loved to write. She hadn't written any stories on the site, but she did keep a journal where she would write poems and stories from time to time. Emily clicked on the current story she had been reading.
It was about a girl who was spending the summer at her grandmas house while her parents were away working on a new library. The main character, Dewey, loved to read, she went there every day to help out at the library. And then she meets a boy, named Leo, after a mouse incident. The two become friends, with the help of a cat. The closer they got they began to realize they had feelings for eachother and fall in love. Most people would have thought it was the most cliche thing ever, but Emily thought there was nothing wrong with cliche's. Each cliche had it's origianlity.
"Hello there miss Emily!" A voice spoke inturupting Emily's thoughts. Emily sat down here phone and smiled at the lady.
"Hello there Nancy!" She replied. Since Emily had come her quite often she had grown close with all the workers. Her favorite waitress was Nancy. Nancy was in her mid-thirties, but looked as young as ever. She had curly black hair that reached to her shoulders had been pulled back into a tight ponytail and the brightest blue eyes anyone has seen. Nancy was wearing her normal attire for work, which was a blue dress that reached down to her knees with a white apron hung around her neck.
"Are you reading again? Oh, you and your books" Nancy smiled leaning down to give Emily a small hug.
"I am.I love to read, it's like a little movie in your head" Emily said pointing to her head.
"Well good. Most people be playing video games, but reading is good for you. It makes ya smarter. Would you like your normal?" Nancy said referring to the coffee.
"Yes, of course!" Emily rolled her eyes playfully.
"One Caramel chocolate latte it is!" Nancy had chuckled before walking away into the kitchen. Emily smiled to herself, returning to reading on her phone.
A couple minutes later Nancy returned with the latte. Emily said a quick "Thank you" before Nancy walked of to help another customer. Emily brought the mug to her lips and took a sip of the latte. The fresh goodness had made her sigh and lay back.
She loved how the café was always quiet and had a fresh scent of peppermint and the nice air that filled around her.
This is why she loved this place so very, deeply much.
