All her nerves had calmed down as she felt the wind rush through her hair. She held on tight to him, as if to never let go. Her eyes were closed. She didn't need to see, she just loved the feeling of feeling free.
As if she thought the bike couldn't faster, Conner pressed the petals harder and they were dashing down the deserted road.
Emily squealed and held on tighter. She thought that she might be squishing him, but that thought flew away as she felt him laugh between her arms.
Then the bike slowed down and halted go a stop. Emily finally opened her eyes. Conner stood off the bike and turned to Emily who was now stood up also.
He gazed at her as he unbuckled the helmet off her head.
Her heart fluttered at his stare and soon her blush had shown and she looked else where.
They were surrounded by woods. The trees blew in the wind as a nearby wolf howled at the glistening moon.
The movie was here? In the woods?
She thought as Dylan lifted her helmet of her blonde head. She patted down her hair to make sure none of it stuck up.
"Why would you bring me here?" Her voice asked.
"I have a surprise" he said excitedly as he grabbed her soft hand and led her through the dark woods.
It seemed as if it had been hours but was only minutes when Conner halted to a stop.
Emily gasped in awe as she took in the scenery.
There were to huge white lawn chairs and a tree held light above. A bowl of popcorn was sitting next to one of the chairs. Pillows and light were set up everywhere and in the middle of the beautiful scene was a white screen and behind the chairs stood a projector.
"Wow!" Emily took in a breath.
Conner chuckled and led her to a seat. She simply sat down and grabbed a handful of popcorn in her hands.
She quickly ate the popcorn in her hand as Conner set up the projector. He had turned it on and the screen shone.
Conner didn't bother sitting in the other chair he sat down next to Emily and pulled her close beside him.
Emily cheeks reddened and was glad Conner could not see her for her cheeks were buried in his chest.
"You like it?" Conner asked.
"Yea. Did you set this up all by yourself?"
"With the help of my little sister, Brooke" he had admitted.
"I didn't know you had a sister" she replied and looked up into his eyes.
"Pumpkin there's a lot of things you don't know about me" he sighed.
"Well...would you mind telling me?" She quietly asked.
"The movie is starting pumpkin"
He moved his gaze from her to the screen. As sighed as she did the same.
They were watching grease, one of Emily's favorite classic movies.
They sat there in silence as the movie played. The stars above them glimmered and shined above them.
And in that moment they were happy together. Like how they always imagined to be.
Happy.
