Chapter 7. Twice

Kayla's POV

Currently I'm listening to Twice by Little Dragon. I have never been so sad in my life and before that it's when my parents split when I was three. It was hard seeing your parents fall out of love. Every day arguing and fighting then there was less talking and then no talking at all. I guess people are really not meant to last.

Why is Liam affecting me so badly we barely talked ,but it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the little moments.

My mom tried to get me come down, but I didn't have the energy too. I wish I could hide from society forever. I already knew I couldn't hide from my best friend. She came barging in my room at 2:00. I couldn't be mad at her she has been calling my phone non-stop.

So, when she came in I just sat up listening to her yell at me for not answering the phone. "Kayla why haven't you been answering the phone. YOU could have been dead or something do you know how much I was worried, I was like OMG, Kayla is not answering her phone she always answers her phone," she yelled at me, she was always dramatic. I wished I answered the phone now.

Finally, I stop her rant. "Emily, calm down I'm fine. I just feel like staying in bed all day ok." I could tell she didn't buy it she knows when something is wrong she is my best friend after all.

"Oh, please I know your lazy, but not that lazy something is wrong. What's the matter?"

Should I tell her the truth? Why bother she also knows when I'm lying. So I decided to tell her.

"Well," I started off "Liam lives next door now." At the moment my ear drums could have burst from her screaming so loud. "You mean Liam, Liam Holt?" I nodded my head

"Are you finished?" She nodded and pursed her lips together so, she won't scream again.

"So, last night he came home drunk and asked if he can spend the night at my house so he doesn't het in trouble by his mom." I can see her getting more excited leaning more and more off my computer chair. "I let him and we slept together and before you freak out no we didn't have sex just sleep." You could see the disappointment in her eyes.

"Did you get to see anything and why would that make you upset. It would make me the happiest girl on Earth." She said as she clapped her hands to her chest.

"It's the next morning we got up, hid from my mom til she left for the store and then his attitude changed he was all cold and told me to stay away from him. I mean I don't know why I'm getting emotional now we barely know each other.'' I told her while tearing up. She came to sit beside me on my bed and she hugged and rub circles on my back.

"It's ok he is a jerk, a hot jerk ,but still a jerk. Listen don't cry over him and maybe you are upset because you kinda like him," she nudged me.

I whip my head so fast towards her. "WHAT, no way I didn't even know him that well, and besides why would he like a nerd like me."

She huffed "that's where you are wrong you are hot nerd and I'm not just saying that." I told her thanks and she gave me a giant hug. "Come on I don't want to sit and mope all day lets go to the park and get some ice cream." Sounds fine to me I told her give me 20 minutes to get ready and I'll be down.

I dressed in some black leggings and a white V-neck and some flip flops. I grab my money and phone and head downstairs and Emily and I walked to an ice cream shop and headed to the park. Hopefully, I get my mind off Liam.

Liam's POV

Right now I'm at my buddies house David and we are sitting in his room playing black Ops. "Dude, you are not even trying." He said agitated.

He is right I'm not trying because I can't get her soft brown skin, long dark hair and beautiful brown eyes out of my head. I want to touch every inch of her body. Starting with those nice plump lips to her...

"Dude, what the hell get your head in the game." Ryan yelled at me.

"Chill its just a game damn always yelling." I said to Ryan

"Woah what's got your balls inn a twist, its not some chick is it?" Damn how did he know?

"It so is! Who is it man, is she hot?" I snapped my head towards him. "If you don't shut the hell up I will punch the shit out of you."

Nobody talks about Kayla, but me.

"Calm down I was just asking question. You never get like this about any girl she must be special."

Wait I'm not suppose to think about Kayla, but I can't help it. "Yeah, I do have feelings for this girl, but she is a goodie two shoes and really smart. I can't be with someone like that I'm just going to fuck up her life. You know I have anger issues."

"Well, if you really like her try to control yourself. Come on man you are not like your father." I clenched my jaw.

My father was an evil man and he had terrible anger problems he use to hit me and my mom, until I got older and stronger and beat the hell out of him he hasn't been back yet. That's why I can't let Kayla in my life my father can come back anytime and hurt her or I could lose control and hurt her. I already did once when I gripped her waist hard. I have to get away from her.
