Dorothy's POV

"I am going for a walk with Diana!" I tell Mama who looks up from her work and gives me a smile.

"Okay. Be careful and don't push yourself too much." Mama says before Diana and I leave the house and started heading down the street.

"How are you feeling since our last session?" Diana asks me as we continue walking.

"I just wish I did not fear alcohol or fear someone else pouring my drinks. I wish that I did not have to have someone take a drink of my drink before I do."

"Those are valid fears Dorothy. Owen and Izzie took your ability to live without fear and that's not okay. But it will eventually get better we just have to take one step at a time." Diana tells me when I hear meowing coming from the coffee shop.

"You stupid runt of a cat! Can't even catch mice!" The owner Solomon O'Reilly shouts as I walk over and see him beating the innocent little kitten.

"Get away from this kitten!" Solomon looks at me in surprise as I bend down and pick up the kitten.

"It is going to be okay little kitten. You are going to be safe now."

"Keep her! She's a munchkin kitten and I have no use for runts in my shop!" Solomon tells me before going into the store and slams the door. The kitten looks up at me with blue eyes that were filled with trust and tears.

"It is okay. I will not let anyone hurt you anymore." I reassured the kitten before walking back to where Diana was standing.

"Call the cops because Solomon abused this kitten. I am not going to let anyone hurt her anymore Diana."

"It sounds you are going to keep her." Diana tells me as we walk away.

"Yes I am."

"Good because I texted Lexie and informed her about what happened. She says that she'll bring home things for the kitten on the way home. Just feed her almond milk for now because some cats are allergic to dairy." Diana tells me.

"Luckily for her we have that in my fridge. Lucky is going to love our home."

"Lucky?" Diana asks me.

"Lucky because she got lucky that she found us."

Amelia's POV

"Lucky's a very interesting name for a cat." Dorothy smiles as she feeds Lucky some almond milk in a little bottle. Marley and Ollie were watching Lucky with fascinating which was a bit odd because I thought dogs hated cats.

"Lucky got lucky because she found us Mama." Dorothy tells me in a manner of fact tone.

"She is lucky that she has you angel."

"No Mama. Lucky has all of us." Dorothy says before finishing feeding the kitten and places her on the ground. The puppies both lay down on each side of the kitten who lays her head on Marley's front paws.

"Are you being my little smart ass again?"

"No Mama. I just know Lucky is safe with all of us." Dorothy says before laying her head on my shoulder and I wrap my arm around her waist.

"That's right angel. She's safe with all of us, especially with her big puppy sisters who are currently guarding her." Dorothy looks at the puppies and smile at their affection for Lucky.

"Lucky does have two big puppy sisters." Dorothy says before closing her eyes and falls asleep.

"Sweet dreams angel."
